Hello guys I just wanted to check in to provide an update. I met my goal of losing 10 lbs. I had to join WW to reach it. Hopefully, now I'm back on track and I can lose the other 20 lbs of regain. Have a great summer

Hello everyone, My name is Janet and I have gained some weight back and want to get it off, I have come here for support in doing so,
I had RNY  surgery Oct.30,2007, start weight was 375 lowest weight was 165 now I am 191 and need to get my eating under control, I eat sugar without any problems, drink diet pop,and carbs, little in ways of protein, other then my protein drinks, very little veggies, other then salads, I have been eating a lot of fruit this summer, that is about the only good thing I eat that is good for  me,
Ice cream every night, chips, fried food, just eating the way I did before surgery.

Success begins with wise choices I make,I will not let noncompliance be my mistake, The surgery I had was to assist me in changes. My compliance is for a success long range, So I will think before I decide to cheat. Remember the goals I want to meet. For this surgery is not something I was force to do It was what I wanted for a healthy life!

Topic: I'm still here
Hello guys it's been a while since I posted. I gained about 30 lbs in a six months period and I joined this challenge to lose it. Well I was having a rough go of it. Recently, I reached 252 lbs and I promised myself I would never go over 250. Well, I had to do something quickly. I joined W Wers and changed my exercise routine. I've only been on WW for a week so far and I have already losted about 7 lbs. The offical weight in won't be until Thursday. My goals for this week was to journal everything I put into my mouth and to avoid all sweets with the exception of fruit. Plus as I mentioned I changed my workout routine. Now I run a quarter of a mile each day along with a 30 minute walk outside. I guess moving my arms really does burn calories. Then I go inside the gym for my resistence and cardio training which usually last an hour. I'm so grateful that the scale is moving downward again. This morning I weight in at 242.2. Finally, I discovered that I am a person who actually requires in person support it helps me be accountable. So in closing I guess the old statement is true: Going back to basics really does work. Thanks

My goal is to lose 30 in 2010, specificly by November 2010.

Each week I will list how many more to reach my goal and then I will try to maintain it.

Topic: Oldie but Newbie
Hi all,

New to this site and not really good at challenges.  However I would like to try the 10 lb challenge.
Sorry that this site has to exist but also sorry that as we get older we don't look younger.  LOL
Unfortunately I have gained over 10lbs since my lowest weight and plan to get it off this year.  I would be happy to get back to my lowest weight by Nov 07 this year and just stay there.
Best wishes to us all.

....went over to the May 2007 board (my 3-yr "surgiversary" is tomorrow!) and I just know that I'm starting to slip.  The worst error - not being accountable - the 15-lb regain started and remains because of that.

I've had some other person health issues that make the hardcore exercise I enjoyed a few months ago a little difficult, but I'm working at finding alternatives.  I need to tap into this great, creative, motivated group of people, and I hope I can contribute in kind.

Glad to be here!

Welcome Judy,

Never to late to join and start making decisions that can turn you around and get you back on track...I check in almost daily, activity is slow but I'll be here to talk & give personal feedback if you come on to post...

I've done the 5-day myself a couple of times in the last 2 years, it definately helps to bring things back into perspective and if you can stick to avoiding the "white" addictive carbs, it will go a long way to help you get jumpstarted again, my problem is slipping back into those pesky  white carb choices...It seems everytime I get going in the right direction I get complacent about my progress and slide backwards...Its crazy  this food addiction and very hard to beat down - just keep plugging away, so far I have not fallen to the bottom of the abbis, just slide down the side a little and then claw my way back to the top...

Wi**** wasn't this way - definately feel you pain...

See ya around the board...

I think we just need to support each other and keep trying.  It's easy to get discouraged and start making bad choices, at least for me it is.  Congrats on the 4# loss! You are on your way!
