I'm still here trying. However, my scale is remaining the same. I range between 240 and 245. Still exercising on a daily bases. Muscle tone has improved and l think I'm developing a shape. I may not get here often but I'm still in the race just running it a little slower than I like,

I lost 3 pounds this week!!  I finally got a fill.  I was too tight for 1 day, but now I am where I should be, I think!

Topic: Check in
Things have been extremely busy so I haven't taken the time to check in like I should.  The weight is relatively stable as is the staying focused.  But there are good days and bad days.  It all comes down to how intentional I am.  Being lazy is just so much easier!

I have started trying some new recipes and staying away from baking.  I found a nice chicken and peanut stew that was satisfying as well as a good chickpea salad recipe.  I still fuss about spices and salt--seems like I can't find the right point any more.  My taste buds have changed, I guess.

I had to give up my one cup of coffee which I was trying to sneak in.  I always had at least a half cup of milk in it thinking that would stop any stomach problems.  Not so much.  Just lately it has been giving me an acid stomach, so I'm trying to do without.  Not a happy camper; I liked my coffee--and the caffeine.

Oh well, what one must do to stay healthy.

Hi there everyone,

Hey Melva welcome to the group. You are a welcome addition to keep things rolling along.

I've managed to drop about 5 pounds since the start of the year. I know it doesn't sound like much, but I'm in the neighborhood of 215 most days and hit my post surgery all-time high in December of 229.8. I have to say that it scared the daylights out of me...and made me feel so our of control. I'm still going to keep plugging along and I will get 10 pounds off by the end of the year or sooner.

Good Morning all, well I have been away for a few months and it shows. I have gained 7 lbs. What a roller coster ride. But today is a new day and I am going to get back on track. I just found out my daughter is scheduled to have surgery on July 8th. I am so happy for her.

Hey Melva,

I saw you posted to my accountability too, WELCOME ABOARD ...I firmly believe supporting each other and posting out in the open for all to see are strong incentives to keep rolling in the right direction...Think about what is a reasonable plan you can follow - write it down - put it somewhere you can see it daily - then do your best to follow it...I know it sounds kinda like a lecture , all I can say is that is my plan, I'm posting on thedailyplate so I can make sure I'm on my numbers and I'm posting here for all to see...

Thank you for joining in...
