Topic: Weekly Weigh - In, 4th week of March
Hi to Everyone
As of today I am still at 138lb and holding steady...I'm really feeling like I'm moving at a snails pace trying to get myself to stay motivated and on track...12 weeks in from the start of 2010 and down a solid 3 lbs...Not exactly the loss I was hoping for, but holding onto the progress...
I've finally seemed to have stopped bouncing so much in the upward direction...Usually by Friday I'm down a couple lbs from the start of the weeks weight, but between getting off track about eating and no planned exercise on the weekends I usually climb up a pound between Friday morning and Monday morning weights...
OK, so it should be obvious to me that the weekend is where I need to put my focus, if I want to really get serious and drop under 130lbs anytime soon...
Anyone else out there struggling with keeping your eye on the prize over the weekend? Tell me what you do to keep the momentum...
Thanks...

Thanks so much Ellen. I have lost 5 pounds this week from increasing my protein and starting with the Wii. It feels good to be going the right direction again. You are right. It does build momentum. Good for you on getting up and going. It sounds like you are doing well!

Hi Laura,
How nice to see you again. You were one of my first contacts on here. Good stuff with the WiFit. For the past two months, I work out with a trainer on Monday nights with a small group, Wed nights, hubby and I do Yoga in Adult Edc. Women's Health Magazine online had a running program to get started running again. In my day, I would run 5-6 miles every day with a day of rest on Sunday. You start out slow but gain momentum quickly. I have been doing it every other day at home and feeling pretty great. Tonight, after I ran, I did a little yoga with the tv. Monday, I get weighed and measured at the trainers and I know I have lost. My point in all this is, I have been at a standstill for about a year and a half now. I finally, feel like I'm moving again on the scale. Check out your tv stations. Someone told me last week about free shows with exercise classes on the television. Do the WiFit. Run after the kids. Get moving. I learned from the trainer that within 45 mins of working out - you must have some protein. It helps build muscle mass. Muscle means metabolism.
Wishing you all the best. I remember praying for you when you had your revision. I am so glad you are okay. Remember you have come so far.

Welcome Laura
I've heard of several people *****vised Lap to RNY, am glad the revision helped you to get closer to your ultimate goal...One thing I know for me is that about year 3 1/2 I suddenly had a quick bounce back weight gain of 10 lbs, which my surgeon and nut assure me is very normal - BUT - I know, personally I would like to give those extra few lbs back to the scale god ...Anyway, that is why I came to this group, 10 lbs in 12 months seemed very do-able, so here I am - ready, posting and tracking...Hope to see you around on the board with questions, support and at least a monthly check-in for accountability...

Hello,
I am new to this group. I had my lapband and lost most of my weight 3 years ago. Two years ago I had an infection in the band and had a revision to RNY. I lost a bit more for a total of 95 lb. I have gained 16 pounds this year and have slipped back into old eating habbits. And, that is why I am here. I am dedicated to this surgery and to the lifelong changes I committed to make.
I have renewed my committment to protein. I was realizing that I hardly got any protein at all. My goal is 70 grams and I have forgotten how hard it is to get that much protein in. I have been a sporadic exerciser. I will try to become more diligent with that. I even bought a Wii Fit plus to go with my Wii. That mean lady told me my Wii age was 51. Yeah, that is coming down!!!
I am not sure if I will tend to be an active member of the posts on this group, but know I am there gaining inspiration even if I don't respond.
Thanks to you all for this group. I think it is just what I need right now!

Hey guys
I had some surgery done last week and was able to sneak in a much needed breast lift. Also, last week marked my two year suriversary. I'm still under 250 but not at my all time low of 219. Today I weighted in at 243.8. Still inthe five pound range I've been in since the new year began. On to a good note both surgeons commented about my muscle mass. I guess I am bulking up to get ready to push the fat out. And just in case you did not know my fat is going to fight awhile this has been her home for twenty plus years! But she must go. I promised my self that I would relive my 20's in my 40's.

Hey Melva,
For me often just holding onto the status quo is progress, so hold on to the success and do your best to follow the plan even though you will be traveling...
For me 138 lbs for week 1 - March
137 lbs for week 2 - March
I will be looking to hold on to this number too, so far since I started I haven't cracked 137 for more than a hot minute and then creeped up, so I success right now for me would be to hold onto this for another week or move down into the next bracket,,
Have a nice trip...
