Life is about balance and we all have to choose what we value most, that you are even questioning your latte indulgence indicates that you know it is impacting you but it may well worth be cost of the pounds.
Why not set a number and if you get to that point know the lattes have to go till you get to where you want to be; or as John suggested, set a limit of how many you allow yourself (either daily or weekly).
Life is always give and take but worth the cost of the little things that make life enjoyable ~~ Only you can chose what that will be....

I cook up 15 beans soup and add a diced up ham steak to it and freeze it in one cup servings, or I love pinto beans and do the same and then there is always a chicken veggie soup (chicken breast, onion, lowfat creme of mushroom soup and a bag of mixed frozen veggies). Do you see the theme that I like beans or soup?? I also make up mini corn bread muffins, wrap them individually and freeze so can take out one at a time (none this year while I try carb withdrawel) ....I also make a HUGH meatloaf (usualy 4 lbs, which is a lot for one person) and then slice it into 4 oz servings and freeze for a quick grab with some veggies for lunch or dinner.
During the summer I am like John, tuna is good but during these chilly months I like the heavier bean/soups to get me thru the colder weather.
Hope these ideas help but I am going to check out those websites, they sound promising! Here's to happy freezing!!
I could have written most of what you wrote up there. Only Christine and I have just 5 kids...you got us there. Sloppy food choices, lazy about exercise...not wanting current gain to turn into more...these are all issues that brought me back in touch with my friends at OH. I can honestly say that I've felt better about these first few days of 2010 than any other 3-4 days of 2009....at least in relation to food choices and how I already feel about my success. 2009 was a great year with lots of fun, but I'm determined to make 2010 even better...by choice.
Thanks for joining us. I know that your insights will be most helpful.

Regain of 20 pounds has thrown me for a loop - will not let this get the best of me - what am I doing about it?

Alesia,
I've contemplated both sides to your dilemma. Have you thought about just temporarily limiting how many you have? If you have one per day currently, maybe you could just have one on any given weekday and then treat yourself anytime on the weekend...just a thought
You don't want to give it up and then crave it so much that it becomes an issue once you get your 14 pound goal out of the way.
Best wishes...

I used to hate tuna before WLS and then I gained a liking for it. Now I use it as my pre-meal snack before I get the kids their dinner (that is my tough time of the day). If I have a slightly packed pouch while I get their food around I win in the long run. I have grown to like light Miracle Whip and a little sweet relish. I drain the tuna VERY well to get it as dry as possible (to stick).
I don't know about you, but I hated how I felt when I filled my pouch early on. Now I dream about having that same feeling. Tuna does that for me pretty well and the protein is just great.
I hate that carbs know my first name and keep calling me....J O H N.......J O H N.....yoooooo hoooooo...over here.
So far I feel very motivated as we start the new year....protein and veggies.

I am purchasing a treadmill within the next couple of weeks which will be great for these cold, snowy winter months when walking outside is not very convenient. Glad to hear you went walking today that's a great victory! Looks like we have the same weight loss goal. I gained 12 lbs. and would like to shed those pounds plus a few more. So here's to us and losing those 15-20 extra pounds!
WE CAN DO IT!!!!
That sounds very good...back to the world of wraps. I've never tried london broil, but will give it a try on your recommendation. I am hooked on turkey pastrami wraps with Laughing Cow cheese in the middle...I think your idea of adding a lettuce leaf may be just what the doctor ordered. You certainly should find success with that formula.

I don't know if you like cooking (many people don't) but there are some good blogs out there about healthy eating that includes recipes. I've pasted a few above.
I do a lot of freezing and reheating, so I know how easy it can be it eat poorly when something isn't already prepared. I do find having some frozen cooked shrimp handy as it only takes a minute to thaw.
In the early days ( sounds pre-historic does'n't it ) I ate tons of wraps that I used romaine lettuce as my wrapper - would put in a slice of lunch meat ( rare london broil is my fav - then turkey breast ), spread it with tangy mustard, top it with a slice of cheese and roll it all up like a wrap...Great crunch & filling to...Adding it back to my food plan today...
