Drop 10 for 10 Challenge (10410)
weekly report
Didn't lose any weight this week, but didn't gain any. I'm not surprised since I had the "big" drop last week. But it is always discouraging to meet your behavior goals and not see it show up on the scale. And it has been a busy week. A couple of days have been so messed up that I couldn't get my walk in. But I still made my 3 hrs. of exercise goal.

I have to say that I'm feeling pretty good about the month of January as we close out this first month. The one thing that I didn't like about 2009 was that I was feeling hungry all of the time. I've refocused my thinking and now I'm really getting those veggies back in and working to avoid the carbs. So far I'm liking how I feel (both physically and mentally). I was thinking that I had somehow "ruined" my pouch. Now I know how to get that rather full feeling again. For me, keeping my caloric intake to just under 500 for both breakfast and lunch seems to be working great. Then when I get home from school I find that this is my most difficult part of the day. If I start to slide there, it seems to go downhill from there for the rest of the day. I have a high protein/high volume snack to get to the dinner and that takes the edge away. I at least feel that the beast is being tamed and that I'm the one back in control. I know that this may take a few months to get back down to my goal, but I'm looking at just little baby steps and enjoying each success along the way.
I hope all of you are doing well on your own personal challenge. I had expected to see a bit more continuity here with 60+ members, but that must just not be in the cards.
Have a great week.
John

I am feeling pretty good about my weight loss so far. I joined a local fitness center and that is helping me to reach my goal.
