Thanks Agent 306 for starting the thread...great job on the 1.2 pounds down...

Starting Benchmark
220 pounds

Week                     Current                Down for Week     +/- Benchmark                    To 2010 goal
#1 (Jan 3-9)           220.6 (Jan 8)                    NA                         +0.6                                    23.6 lbs
#2 (Jan 10-16)       219.8 (Jan 17)                  .8 lb                       -0.2                                    22.8 lbs
#3 (Jan 17-23)       218.0 (Jan 22)                  1.8 lb                     -2.0                                       21 lbs

I had a great week friends. I'm slowly chipping away at this extra weight and best of all I just feel so good about myself again....we all remember that "successful" feeling....right?

Anyway, I'd like you all to mention one or two of your "success" foods this week. Particularly if you lost weight, there may be foods that you ate that helped you stay on track better. I focused on tuna, egg whites, turkey pastrami (at WalMart Deli - try it if you have not yet done so - unless you do not like pepper****pt my volume up (yes, I'm still a volume eater) by eating vegetables instead of the not-so-good choices of naughty 2009.

I'm hoping more people chime in with any success...no matter how big or small. To be truly successful you have until December of 2010 to hit the mark...so just chip at it a little at a time...even a 1/4 pound lost is in the right direction. If you are happy with that 1/4 pound loss for the week, then we are too.

Remember, the main success of Weigh****chers is not so much the class, but the weekly accountability. So if you are sitting out on the perimeter being a wallflower, just jump right in and introduce yourself and start from this point foward.

Have a great week.

John

I'm not sure if I'm recording this right but I did say I would be sure to post this week.  I didn't really start the first of Jan. but the 180 was my weight at my four year weigh in at the surgeon's.  That's when it hit me that 20 lbs over my lowest was just too much.  Why is it always more powerful when it is at the doctors?

I really started to refocus the second week--that's when I started a challenge at work.  I did really well with sticking with my exercise and keeping my eating in check.

I started re-reading "Winning after Losing" by a woman who lost over 300 lbs. with wls.  It is all about maintaining.  I've read it before, but I find that reading such books helps keep me on track and motivated.  Kind of keeps it all in the forefront.

Well, I'm not exactly setting the world on fire! I only have 2 more radiation treatments, then I'll be back home eatin like a regular person.  I hope that will help these numbers!

Weight lost for February :

It was a tough weekend for me, visited my 90+ yrs grandparents, really hard to say no to all the food my Grammy put in front of me for the last 6 days...Was not very successful and had no gym to work it off, really crappy cold & wet weather, tried to burn some off at the mall but the distractions kinda put a crimp in that plan , man I hate REAL shopping malls ( NOT)...

Any way, happy to not be TOO out of control and reeled it in on the road home, so hope to see a loss of the 1 lb regain + 1 extra this week, will be applying myself at the gym for a little longer workout and going extreme low carb for the next 5 days to re-jump the downward trend...

I have been diligent in working out and eating right and yet I have not seen any results. As a matter of fact I gained 3 pounds????    This is the kind of stuff that would discourage me and throw me into a eating frenzy. But not this time... I'm just gonna stick with it and hope for the best.

Current weight:  150 (boo)
Recently Gained: 3
Goal Weight:  135
Need to lose:  15 pounds to reach goal.

Hi Lisa,

I applaud you for making the firm decision to stick with it, I can certainly relate to your frustration as I too really need to see some kind of results to help keep myself motivated, I'm sure you will see a move in the right direction VERY soon...

Question? or maybe just a observation/statement - What are you doing to eat right?  Maybe all you need is to switch it up a little to get things jumpstarted...Or even a change in your workout ( time of day or breaking time up in to smaller segments )...

Good luck, I know you can do it...

Weight lost for January __2 pounds_

Hi all....sorry I've been MIA.  Life has been hectic with out of town travel for work, an out of state funeral for DH's grandmother, DH injuring his shoulder and possibly needing surgery, etc.  It's been nuts.  I'm weighing a bit early this week as I will be traveling for work again and will miss my regular weighin day.  It's coming off slow.  Just need to be patient with myself.  When I get back into town I will resume being a regular visitor to this forum.

Safe travels to you Mary Ellen. Sounds like you've got your plate full. Hope once you return things will settle down a bit for you. And remember to EAT HEALTHY while traveling!

Cheers!
