Hit with the flu bug!

Actually, my kids have the flu not me thankfully. But duty calls and I've been busy dealing with sick, miserable kids. I'm sorry if I haven't been on much or said, "hello" to the newcomers. I will be back on Monday to greet you all! Have a great weekend and remember to make healthy food choices and MOVE YOUR FEET!!!

Quick Tip:
For those of you who absolutely HATE all forms of exercise (like me), try this....
Turn up some hip-hop music and move your feet, hips & arms!  Feel the beat and JUST DANCE!
Spin, twirl, twist, wiggle & hop as you get down and boogie! You won't even know you're shedding pounds, raising your heartrate and losing inches!!!

Cheers,
Lisa

Hey Lisa,

Hope you manage to stay away from the bug personally...

I LOVE to dance ...Always movin' & groovin' for some reason...I even had a guy get out of his car once and come up to introduce himself & ask me to go dancing and bar hopping cuz I was rockin' out so hard while sitting at a traffic light...

You're SO right, it is GREAT exercise and you don't even know how hard you are working out cuz your having so much fun

My apologies if this posts twice....having computer issues.

I hope you get your kids well without you getting ill yourself.  Great idea about the moving to the music. I know at the gym I tend to work out a little longer and a little harder when I have my mp3 player with me.  I also tend to work out a little longer when I have a book on the stair master.

So sorry about the flu.  Hope you are able to avoid it yourself.  I work at a college, so I got both the normal and the H1N1 vaccine.  College students are the wisest when it comes to their own health--and therefore everyone else's.

I did learn that the term for sneezing into you elbow is "dracula sneeze."  Heard it on NPR, so it must be right!

I do like just dancing around the kitchen (good floor for it) but hip hop, not so much.  That's the great thing about the wide range of music available today.  There's something for every taste.

I'm still battleing my winter funk--there is something so very wrong when scraping off the car in the morning one thinks, "It's not so bad today" and it is eight degrees outside.  Eight degrees is never a good thing!
