I've got about 15 to 20 lbs. I want to get off this year--and keep off.  I've found it easy to become thoughtless about my eating and very lazy about exercise, especially in winter.

This winter I can honestly say I've done more outdoor exercise--shoveling endless snow!  As I mutter under my breath with each shovel full, I try to remind myself that at least now I can shovel my own snow.  (That and I need to move south!)

I was already planning to get on the regaining control band wagon this year, so this group will be helpful.  So far I haven't done so well on the snacking, but I did get over to the gym to walk at lunch today.  And I so didn't want to, so that was a bit of a victory.

Snacking & GRAZING have been my biggest downfalls. I'm a salty crunchy snacker and I seem to always want something to crunch on throughout the day. Of course this leads to grazing which is a big NO NO for us. Some other bad habits I've allowed to creep back in are... skipping breakfast and not drinking enough water. So, I'm hoping to get back on track with drinking more water, eating a healthy high protein breakfast every morning and eating healthy "PLANNED" snacks and regular meals to keep me from grazing!

I am purchasing a treadmill within the next couple of weeks which will be great for these cold, snowy winter months when walking outside is not very convenient. Glad to hear you went walking today that's a great victory! Looks like we have the same weight loss goal. I gained 12 lbs. and would like to shed those pounds plus a few more. So here's to us and losing those 15-20 extra pounds!

WE CAN DO IT!!!!

Congrats on getting to the gym (wow, a snow shoveler, I am impressed)and for making the committment to get back on track!  We all slip and slide, some of more than others, I have a lot more to lose but my main focus is my health and I don't want to undo all the good I did three years ago by having this surgery.

I am a stress eater and things have been very stressful the past year and I have regained more than I am happy with but I am a big believer that the biggest factor is recognizing that we can't give up the battle with food, no matter what our weakness is; we have the tool, we just need to use it appropriately!

We can do this!

The snow shoveling is definitely not by choice--and we're getting another 5 inches today :(
