I guess it is a little late to say happy thanksgiving but I can report that I had a great thanksgiving. Spent it with family and enjoyed a wonderful thanksgiving dinner. My sympathy to all those on a pre-surgery liquid diet. Ii will miss all the Christmas festivities with my family this year due to my surgery so I especially treasured today. Hope all your thanksgivings went equally well.

My surgery is dec 10th. My birthday is January 9th. I was also thinking it was a great bday present to myself.
You are more than welcome to join - we have a couple of other members having sleeves!
Sorry the Band did not work out for you. I'm having my RNY done at Mayo in Jacksonville. Their bariatric center says they wish the entire industry would stop using the Band due to the high complication rate.
December 5th is very close. Are you on a pre-op diet?

Wow, lots of us for the week of the 16th. What a great idea to form this group!
I'm feeling lucky that I don't have to do a preop liquid diet. I can't have anything but liquids the day prior but no two weeks for me. Yeah! Sounds like you have it under control though. Good for you. My surgery is on the 16th and I go in for all my preop stuff on the 12th. Other than that, I am already. Woohoo. I have been prepping long enough that I am ready to get going with the surgery.
How fun, my birthday is also in December. Looks,like it's all have a lot to celebrate.

Joining you even though I'm not RNY.....
I was banded 27 months ago. I've done well, but the complications keep piling up. I'm turning to VSG as a permanent option of what I initially hoped the band would be.
