msronertson2013 and nanaof9: welcome!! If you would like to share your surgery dates with us, I'll add you to the post with people's username and date of surgery (and real name, if you wish).
If you do, just reply to this post. If you don't, no worries.

I've been using Twitter for a while now, mostly as a news and information delivery device. I've got a bunch of people followed, but I haven't every really tweeted much, as I never thought I had much to tweet about! However, it occurs to me that my upcoming surgery and changing life and body would be something that some people might find interesting. My plan is to live tweet my hospital experience as much as possible (obviously, I can't live tweet the actual surgery!) and the highlights and/or lowlights of the recovery and weight loss periods. If anyone would like to follow, you can find me at @CunningPam. I'll follow back anyone who decides to follow me, of course!

Yay, it's fixed! I had made it too long, come to find out, and it was chopping off the ticker portion.
Thanks for the response, Karen!

Thanks much, Karen. I'll step through all that info and see if I can't get it functional.

So excited for you...God is with you always, you will do wonderfully. Wishing you much success!
Prayers and good luck today. Please let us know how you are feeling when you are well enough to post!
Did you click the save button at the bottom of the setup (below where you enable you signature)? If so, try hitting the refresh screen button on your computer. I find I have to do that sometimes to get the ticker to update after I enter a new weight.
At the top of the page under "Community", there is a section on the ticker and widgets. They have a tutorial you can watch to see if you might have missed a step. Other than that, I would email them the question. I forget whether it's under 'contact us' or 'help' at the bottom of the page. I've had to ask them several (what I considered to be stupid) questions when I first started on here, and they couldn't have been nicer with their responses. They were very prompt too.
Good luck - we want to watch with you as that weight comes off!!
