Congrats on getting your insurance approval!!  You can still be December groupie; we even have someone who had surgery in November and is going great.  Just think, you will benefit from our experiences!

Good Luck to everyone, I'm sorry that I missed the chat. My prayers that everything goes well and you have a speedy and as painless a recovery as possible. Update on me - I got my insurance approval but unfortunately I won't be able to count myself as truly a December groupie - I haven't got my date yet but it's looking like January for me. I can't think of a better way to start off the new year though

If you would like your surgery dates added to our list (so we know who has a date close to ours and also to lend moral support as others have their surgery) - just reply below with your date.

I don't think it is the lying down part, it is using my stomach muscles to sit back up LOL.. I might try it tonight. We shall see!! Good luck on your surgery and yeah I think you are right on the being more common to stay 24 hours. I have two friend who had surgery about 3 years ago, they were in for about a week or more. They were shocked I left so soon afterwards.

Glad to hear you're doing ok! My surgeon plans to keep me for just one day as well, I get the feeling that's not too uncommon. Sorry about not being to lie down, hopefully you can graduate from the recliner to the bed soon!

Thanks, liset! How has your recovery been going? Since I'm going for mine in a couple of weeks, I'd like to hear your thoughts about the post-op period.
