My weight loss is slow but steay; I'll take a slow, steady loss any day.
I am still not thrilled about a camera, but at least I don't run from cameras like a vampire running from the sun.

Good morning...I have arrived! At least that is what my scale screamed at me this morning! Am at 199, haven't seen that number since around 1981. My weight loss is slow, 31lbs since December 26th but that is fine with me. Cannot even explain the emotions that rushed through my head this morning when I stepped on the scale, last week gave away all of my "professional" clothing ie. suits, dresses, evening gown to a friend at work it was like loosing an old friend. How absurd clothing your friend but there were a lot of memories in those garments...lol...a lot of "eating" memories! Threw away some shorts, went to Walmart and got some new,Goodwill for jeans. I was wrong when early on I thought the surgeon may not have really done the surgery...lol. Am so grateful for the surgery and as they say...wish I'd done it 20 yrs ago. All those years hiding from cameras so that I would not have to look at myself. Let my daughter take a photo of me the other day outside in the front yard...she was shocked then my son posted it on my facebook...lo and behold I didn't have a fit like I in the past, he was celebrating with me! Oh Happy Day!

What are they giving you for the ulcer? It took 2 20mg doses of Nexium a day to get rid of my ulcers (pre op); and I'm still on the same dose.
Congrats on being down 50 lbs; that is such a nice round number - half way to 100!!

I'm sorry about the shingles, but YAY on being so very close to Onederland!!
I hope the med works and you are rid of the shingles in no time!!

Congrats. 50 pounds lost and gone forever. You are doing a great job. Is the ulcer bothering you? I have never had one but heard they can be painful. I will be 3 months out on 3/9 so Im not far behind you. Keep up the great work.

I haven't weighed this in 30 years!!
Unfortunately, I have Shingles!! it sucks. Doctor said the surgery is quite a trauma to the body, it is not uncommon.
Can't workout for awhile, but I can still walk. I am still going to work, they gave me some medicine to shorten the length of the virus life, we shall see.
Not going to let it get me down though, I am so grateful for the surgery it has given me a new lease on life, more power in my lady step!
I hope that everyone is well and healthy.
