Hello Pam. I know what you mean. A week or so after surgery I became horrible for a week. I was moody mean hateful etc. I even fought with my boyfriend throwing his clothes down the stairs. That is not me. I was mad because he did not ask me how I was doing lol. Im telling you the hormornes were raging. I was even in my night gown and walked out of the house and down the street. After a few houses I realized...Where the heck am I going at 10pm in my nightgown lol. So I turned back to go home. Luckily my BF is awesome and patient. He was skeered as well that that might last a long time lol.

I will tell you that I love my work outs. It is my time that I look forward to. I first joined a silver sneakers class which is meant for age 50+ people. Its lower impact and is not too taxing. It was good on my tummy. Everyone was welcoming and supportive. I found that I sleep better and my mood is way more positive when I exercise. Even a little movement is better than nothing.

Thanks for the encouraging words for school. I am excited to further my career. I like working with geriatrics and cardiology. So Ill see where that takes me.

Thanks Karen, This is by far the hardest thing I have ever done. For me the surgery was easy, its the afterward that is the test. Make sure you eat your protein first, chew chew chew...oops no drinking 30 min after you eat....slow down and eat slowly....did you get your liquids in? what about your protein? It seems like my life now is harder because I am obsessed with getting it right. I want to accomplish this once and for all. I told my trainer a few weeks ago that my body is no longer in control. I am....If my body is hungry oh well I will feed it when I want to, If its too tired to work out nope gotta earn the sleep. I am taking back my life and body. For once I feel in control.

Add me on MFP it is under Shannon McGee. I love the way I am accountable for everything. I add everything that grazes my lips. It keeps me in check.

I cant wait to be an RN. I have been an LPN for 2 years and want to get into the hospitals. In Florida (pinellas county) they no longer hire LPNS for the hospitals. My mom and sister are RN's so its time I made it a trio. How come you stopped?

Wow Karen...so sorry you are having some issues. Please keep us posted, as others have said.

And- thank you so much for keeping this group going and lively. You are all so special to me, and such an inspiration!! :)

I'm going to be exactly 2 weeks post-op on Monday. So far, no complications. I haven't gotten sick at all, thank God, and I've been able to tolerate everything I've tried. I have had no issues with liquid or anything. My only issue is some pain in my lower left side- surgeon said i'd have it, and that I'm not yet able to sleep on my side, which i always did before. I'm hopeful that in another week or two, I'll be there.

In my first week I was down 11 pounds. I'm going to my PCP this Monday, and then my surgeon the following Monday, so I think that will be my official weigh in day. I'm already thrilled with the results. I'm no going to lie, I'm looking forward to advancing the diet...a girl can only eat so many refried beans :).

I have noticed that I get really tired quite easily. I walked for 30 minutes today and was afraid I was going to fall asleep standing there. Again, my body getting used to the lower calories I'm sure.

My only other complaint is that I cannot stand B1 vitamins taste!!! That's the only thing that makes me want to throw in the towel and give up! YUCK!!!! If anyone has ideas for getting over that, I'm all ears. LOL!!

Stay strong ladies!
