Happy to hear from you Rachel!
I'm sorry you are having some of same sensations I've been having. Hopefully they will pass soon.
I've had some very vivid and bizare dreams too! I rarely remember my dreams.
If it makes you feel better, I lost 9 lbs from my pre-op weight the 2nd week (was still up with fluid retention after the first week). Since then I lost 3 lbs a week for the next 2 weeks. I'm not at all impressed with my weight loss; then again I lost 59 lbs pre-op.
Your post was NOT boring. Hope to hear more from you soon!!
Karen
Hi Friends,
I'm finally losing some weight, I've been gradually replacing my meals with shakes in preparation for my liver reducing diet which begins this week (1/16). I was getting a little discouraged because I hadn't seen any consistent weight loss just my usual yo yo of 2-3 lbs. but finally I'm starting to see a trend. Yeah, I'm down 7lbs since December. whoop whoop.
Keep you posted. Here's to a Healthier and Happier us!
Wow today is the day! Good Luck Anne, we're sending positive vibes your way and prayers for an easy, no complications recovery. I'm right behind you, my surgery is January 30th so I'll be full of questions.
I had my RNY a week ago Jan 6th. Seem to be doing well. Very tired, and am a bit hungry looking forward to nextweek when I can move on to pureed stage and eat food. Been 3 weeks on a liquid diet been tough. My new life and journey are full speed ahead. Wish the best to all of you.
Hi, so this is the first time I am being active in this group so....HELLO EVERYONE!!!
Okay, that is taken care of. Well, I am pleased that I am close to one month out and I have had no major problems! Woot! I am trying to get all my protein in and I think I am being successful, but I haven't had any weight loss since a week or so after surgery. I dropped 20 something pounds that first week then stopped(Boohissboo). The only pain I have had I guess has been in my stomach when I roll in my sleep or twist too fast. I've had some very vivid nightmares as a result(sarcastic Yay!). I have also experienced that light-head feeling Dukemom, especially when I go to wash my hair(I have A LOT of hair) or when I am standing too long. You aren't alone in that. So, now that I got my semi-whine out of the way, one of my favorite victories is how much easier it is to take a walk now than it was before. Before surgery, I felt like a quick walk was going to make me pass out and my ankles and feet hurt, etc. But it is amazing how much more pleasant it is to walk with even this little amount of weight gone. I hope I can start running in the future, it is something to look forward to.
Anyway, thank you for reading through my (boring)story and I wish everyone hear the best of luck and health!!
Im sorry :( Are you a vegetarian or just want to try something new? I am a vegetarian so I live on those things. Are you on My fitness pal?

I am glad to hear you are doing well. I think the pain on the left side may be residual gas. A lot of people still have that at a month out. Do you use a PPI for gas and acid? I took pepcid and it helped a lot with the gas. I know what you mean, all I wanted to do is lay on my side. I am not a back sleeper at all. You are on the right track, 11 pounds in 2 weeks is wonderful. Keep it up your doing great. I agree refried beans get old after eating them 50 times lol. when do you get to move to the next phase?
I also got tired quickly. My body was used to mega amounts to carbs pumped into my body every hour. Its in revolt mode now. I have not had any bread pasta etc since middle of Nov. Your body just needs to get used to the new you. We are moving a lot of weight on a little e amt of calories so the body is freaking out.
I know that online they sell liquid b12 spray. It is supposed to taste good. You can also get a Rx from your Dr for b12 injections. You can have someone give them to you monthly, If you dont have any medical people you know, your nurse can teach someone in your family to give it. its not rand is WAY better than the pill.

Remember that when you eat salad it fills you up faster. So you want to try to eat more protein first. I will tell you that I love the refried beans, cheese sour cream and hot sauce. Its full of protein and little fat. You can also try ricotta and cottage cheese melted with mozzarella cheese. It tastes like the inside of a manicotti. you can even put ground beef in there as long as you can have it. As far as the veggie products I love morning star buffalo chix nuggets. OMG it so good. I cut a few up and put it in a lettuce leaf with cheese mayo and mustard.
Wahoo 50 pounds in a month. You go girl. I am so proud of your accomplishment. I know how hard it is and keeping on track. How long are you on the treadmill for? Walking is great I will say the eliptical kicks my butt. I can only do it for 15 min on 0 resistance. I try to go fast and get tired lol. Its fun though. Keep up the great work!!!
