How is everyone doing?

Hi, so this is the first time I am being active in this group so....HELLO EVERYONE!!!

Okay, that is taken care of.  Well, I am pleased that I am close to one month out and I have had no major problems!  Woot!  I am trying to get all my protein in and I think I am being successful, but I haven't had any weight loss since a week or so after surgery.  I dropped 20 something pounds that first week then stopped(Boohissboo).  The only pain I have had I guess has been in my stomach when I roll in my sleep or twist too fast. I've had some very vivid nightmares as a result(sarcastic Yay!).  I have also experienced that light-head feeling Dukemom, especially when I go to wash my hair(I have A LOT of hair) or when I am standing too long.   You aren't alone in that. So, now that I got my semi-whine out of the way, one of my favorite victories is how much easier it is to take a walk now than it was before.  Before surgery, I felt like a quick walk was going to make me pass out and my ankles and feet hurt, etc. But it is amazing how much more pleasant it is to walk with even this little amount of weight gone.  I hope I can start running in the future, it is something to look forward to.

Anyway, thank you for reading through my (boring)story and I wish everyone hear the best of luck and health!!

Happy to hear from you Rachel!

I'm sorry you are having some of same sensations I've been having.  Hopefully they will pass soon.

I've had some very vivid and bizare dreams too!  I rarely remember my dreams.

If it makes you feel better, I lost 9 lbs from my pre-op weight the 2nd week (was still up with fluid retention after the first week).  Since then I lost 3 lbs a week for the next 2 weeks.  I'm not at all impressed with my weight loss; then again I lost 59 lbs pre-op.

Your post was NOT boring.  Hope to hear more from you soon!!

I had my RNY a week ago Jan 6th. Seem to be doing well. Very tired, and am a bit hungry looking forward to nextweek when I can move on to pureed stage and eat food. Been 3 weeks on a liquid diet been tough.   My new life and journey are full speed ahead. Wish the best to all of you.

Hey there everyone!  I haven't been on here since first having my surgery Dec 13th.  I'm 1 month 2 days post op.  It's been going pretty well.  All of my incisions are healed.  I was progressed to regular diet, minus pasta, rice, nuts, popcorn, and raw veggies.  I'm dying for a salad, so in looking forward to Feb 13th, 2 months, so I can add raw veggies in.

The only pain I still have is in my lower left side.  It's like a burning, sharp, stinging pain. I get it when I laugh too hard, cough, bend too far, stretch to much, or even just sitting certain ways.  I still have to sleep on my back because of it.  I'm a belly sleeper.  The surgeon said its from where he cut some nerve endings.  I just had my 1 month appt with him and he said to give it another 1-2 weeks and it should go away permanently.

So far I'm down 35lbs as of yesterday's apt.
