We're glad to have you here!  Please feel free to tell us a little about your yourself (surgery date, how you are doing now, etc.) - only if you feel like sharing!

Hi Karen, I had my RNY on 12/26. I am doing very well...I know this sounds weird, but I almost feel like because I feel so good and can get all my protein, water in that something is wrong with me...did the surgeon not do the rny? I keep telling my family that there must be something wrong...I can down a 1/4 to 1/2 cup of soup, cream of wheat and eat it slow. I don't get the "full" sensation that people speak of. Since 12/26 I have lost 5 lbs. I walk 4-5x day about 15 minutes each. My son in law was teasing me saying...oh they must have done a sleeve, his mom had the surgery 7 months ago and she couldn't get more than an ounce of water at a time in. She was tired all the time, had loads of pain... I'm feeling kind of spooked.

Everyone is different.  Some do very well - like you; others struggle to get their fluids and protein in.  Consider it a blessing that you are doing so well, and congratulations on the 5 lb loss!!  Keep up the great work - but please don't be tempted to advance your diet faster than your program's guidelines.

thanks much...well, today I learned that you can push the pouch!! ouch!!!!! took my meds with a little bit of cream of wheat (had forgotten to take them in the am so I took it closer to noon)...not thinking and being an "eat by the clock" person all my life, at 12:30 I decided to have some soup...too close to the cream of wheat...sever cramps, thought I was going to yack, so I had to go take an hour or so nap.  Feeling good now...I understand now...and I am counting my blessings.
