hello

Hello group, just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Anne and I am having VSG on 1/14/14. I'm 17 days out from my surgery date and looking forward to the beginning of my new life. I am from Michigan and travelling to Dallas for my surgery. Very excited about this group as it looks to be very active. Love reading everyone's updates and seeing all of the discussion topics!

Welcome Anne!  The 17 days will be gone before you know it - and it will be YOUR big day.  Do you have a pre-op diet?  If so, when do you start it?

I traveled for my surgery, but stayed instate; it was a 4+ hour drive.  I stayed in a local hotel for a couple of days before my husband drove me home.

I'll add you to our list of surgeries!!

Thanks Pam is amazing to get replies on this sight and to have the support of so many different people that are going through similar situations that i am. 16 days and counting and two more days until my pre surgery diet starts.

Pam, I do have a pre-op diet and start it on new years day. It's 60 oz of protein shakes/bars a day, 5 oz of lean meat and 2 cups of vegetables. This is the part i'm most concerned with as my stomach and brain are still the "same size". Luckily, water is my new best friend and I think it will greatly assist me with my pre-op diet. Any suggestions anybody would give will be of great assistance!

So very excited for you Anne!  Do you have family traveling with you to TX?   You know, I stalked this site for a couple of months, afraid to say anything and the closer I got to my 12/26 surgery I realized that the people here are all so supportive and wanted the best for everyone that I just had to join in.   Now I hope that I will be able to give confidence to someone contemplating the surgery!  I will keep you in my prayers!

Thanks Nana... yes me husband will be traveling with me too Dallas also. It will be here before i know it. You are just a few days out abdhow are you doing? Which surgery did you have?
