Hey, guys! I managed to get through surgery ok, and now I'm just waiting on the surgeon to visit and clear me to go home. Last night was pretty rough; I didn't handle the anesthesia well at all. My body temp dropped to 95.8, so when I actually woke up in my room I was ****oon in warmed blankets so that only my face was showing. Plus, every time I closed my eyes, like even to blink, I feel asleep! This went on all night, plus I started getting the worst pain in my chest from gas. I had orders for all the pain meds I needed, though, so it got better. Today my catheter I'd out, and I'm finally able to get up and walk around, IV pole in tow. Just waiting to see the doc now, and hopefully going home in a bit. Shove over and make room for me on the losers bench! ;)

YEAH welcome to the bench. We need to build more benches as everyone is getting their surgery. I am sorry I didnt write to you yesterday. I worked for the first time then crashed when I go home. I will tell you this. Immediately after I had my surgery I was cold and have not stopped since. At 274 pounds I was never ever cold. I never turned my heater on in the winter and never had a coat (BTW I live in Florida)If it got about 72 I was sweating and hot. WELL NOT ANYMORE!!!!!. I have gone out and bought 2 heating pads socks and flannel jammies. I am wanting an electric blanket, I constantly shiver and its only 70 degrees in my house. So you may have to get used to the cold lol. I said the DR removed my warm button haha. Walk walk and walk. The more you walk the more the gas will dissipate and you will feel so much better. The first 24 hours is the worst How are you feeling now?

Glad you are doing pretty well. The first day is the worst. I am always cold too. As it was stated. Walk walk walk. It really helps. The first 3 days I slept all the time. Welcome to the loser's bench
