I am 1 week post op today. It is amazing how time flies. My weight at 2 weeks prior was 268. The day I had my surgery I weighed 253. When I left to come home from the hospital I weighed 263. I knew this was to be expected. I weighed today and it says 250.8. wahoo either way you look at it it is 18 pounds from when I started. I am amazed and happy. I feel great and am going to start exercising today. Cant wait to hear all your updates.

It feels so good to watch the scale go down instead of up. Where were your staples at? I cant wait to hear how much you have lost this week.

Nice going, Shannon! I'm glad to see how well things are going for you. Good on you for not freaking out at the initial bump up in weight from the hospital, and I hope things continue to go smoothly and losingly (yes, it's a word I just made up!) for you!

I love the word losingly. I think it should be in the urban dictionary lol. You know I would have normally freaked out but I have read so many times that you gain first then lose, So I was not too worried. I cant wait to eat purees next week. I am following the Drs instructions though I feel I could do a little bit more.

When did you startle sling well enough to exercise??  I'm still pretty sore, but I just surgery on Friday.  Not sure if that's considered 3 or 4 days post-op.  are you still sore at all??

Tiffanie I am not sore at all. I feel real good. Sometimes I feel a pull on my left side but nothing bad. I do get out of breath pretty quick. Before surgery I was walking 3 miles in 1 hour but I can barely walk a mile now. I am doing it slowly and listening to my body. I had surgery on Monday 12/9 and when I came home 12/12 I felt good enough to do dishes. Each day I do some chore around the house. Take it easy and dont over do it. You will be exercising in no time.

I am glad you are doing so well I am almost two weeks out. I still have soreness, rarely, I still have to take a pain pill. Last night I had my first time of 'dumping' There was no throwing up or awful BM or anything. It was straight out pain in my intestines. I seriously wanted to die. I have had 6 surgeries, gave birth to 2 children, and I NEVER in my life felt pain like that. It woke me up from a dead sleep. It lasted and on and off for about an hour. I never, ever want to feel that again. Today I am basically afraid to eat anything at all. It is 2pm and all I have had is water. I know I need my protein. But I am seriously afraid to touch anything else. But that is my update... sorry it is a downer.

Thanks Shannon.  I folded some laundry today, so that was a plus.  My husband said that I don't seem as bad as I was with my C-section.  So that's encouraging!  I went up and down the stairs a couple times and walked some laps.  I wi**** was warmer, because I would walk more outside.  Lets keep it up!!!
