Finanlly on the Loser Bench!!!
Hey there everyone!!! I had my RNY on Friday morning. Everything went well. I should be release from the hospital tomorrow afternoon. I think one of the best pieces of advice I have while in the hospital, is to stay up on your pain meds & walk, walk, walk. Walking makes me feels so much better. I've definitely been extremely sleepy too. I'll update again once I get home and start full liquids! Friday I didn't have anything, except IV fluids. Today it's been 2 teaspoons of water/ice each hour. Tomorrow I will get clear liquids, then I go home and start full liquids. Good luck to those that will be having surgery in this upcoming week!!!!

You will see that each day gets better. The more you walk the better you feel. Dont over do it, rest when your body tells you too. Keep up the good work.

I'm so excited for you Karen - Good Luck on Tuesday. There's nothing you can do to set their fears about the surgery aside except to continue to emphasize that you will be all the more healthy for it afterwards. You certainly have the right attitude - All my well wishes and prayers go out to you for a safe and speedy recovery. Keep in touch -- Lina
Grats, Tiffanie! I'm glad to hear things went well. Keep us posted, and good luck to you for a speedy and lossful (yep, another word I just made up!) recovery!
