Hi Everybody,
I'm Erica I'm a newbie. I just started my journey to RNY. I have to go get all my lab work done on the 24th and in September I start my 6 months of physcian monitored diet. I'm really exicited and looking forward to getting this journey started. It's been a long time coming so wish me luck.

Topic: medical mutual coverage??
hi friends...i am just starting on this journey. i am reading book, have a seminar set up and a dr. appt for august...one of my main concerns is how much this will cost. i have medical mutual supermed and it is pretty good but i am worried about out-of-pocket expense....anyone got any info for me? thanks!! i will be going through st. vincent charity hospital or cleveland clinic. looking forward to hearing from you!

Wanted to let you know, I won't be attending the conference. Though, I wish I could.
Still have problems here we are dealing with and haven't been home much.

Hi,
I didn't make it to the chat last night. Went to visit my dad who just got out of the hospital and because of the blizzard did not make it home in time.
I am really sorry.. Next time I will be there.

To introduce myself, here's a little about me:
I am 57 years old. I live in the Youngstown, Ohio area. I have a beautiful wife. We will celebrate 33 years of marriage next month. I have three grown children.
I had RNY laprascopically on 9/21/09 at the Cleveland Clinic.
I used to weigh more than 500 pounds. By the day of my surgery I weighed 324 pounds. A week ago I weighed 260 pounds.
I joined OH about a month before surgery and have found the support here great.
Since the local WLS support group here in town is only open to patients of that hospital.. I need to drive about a half hour to the next nearest group. Don't know when your group meets, but even if I can't make it, I would love to share our experiences on this journey online as well.

This year I am so thankful for many things. My RNY and improved health is number 1 on my list!!
Also, I am thankful for all my OH friends and support with special thanks to shoegirl1023 who has been my support thru this whole process and my favorite food "Nazi"
