I liked this cookbook because it offers some helpful hints of pantry items, how they are used and also some pretty good recipes.
There are a few side dishes in this one that are not high protein, but the main dishes seem to have a decent protein count. Just wanted to share with the group in case any of you are looking for recipes. posted by ToriRaye on May 9, 2011 | Report Broken Link |

This one I started using even before surgery and it was because she uses mostly splenda in her recipes, and the focus is on low fat, low calorie and low sugar.

This one I love for the fact that it gives a new Food Pyramid for bariatric patients that I found very useful. Also, it gives a description of what each vitamin does for the body and why you need it. The recipes are shown to give you ideas (a few) for each phase of the healing process. It also breaks down some recipes by what you can eat in that recipe during those phases.

This is a link to the most commonly used message board lingo (or short-cuts for words).
I hope this helps. posted by ToriRaye on May 17, 2011 | Report Broken Link |
