Our January  meeting will be this Saturday, January 8th from 10:30am till 12 noon. The meetings are held in the conference room a****ersedge Rehab Center at 111 Church Street in Middletown. Please try to attend.

FROM THE NORTH:
I-91 South to exit 22 (Rt. 9S); go through two traffic lights in Middletown to exit 14 (DeKoven Drive). At the end of the exit, go straight to the 2nd traffic light; take a left onto Broad St. At the first traffic light, turn right onto Church St; Park behind the building

FROM THE SOUTH:
I-91 N to exit 17; go 1/2 mile and bear right to take I-691E exit to Middletown Route 66E Follow for approximately six miles and take a right onto High Street at Wesleyan University. At the 4th traffic light, take a left onto Church Street; Parking behind building

FROM THE EAST:
I-84 to route I-91 S to exit 22 (Rt. 9S); go through two traffic lights in Middletown to exit 14 (DeKoven Drive). Follow the same directions as in FROM THE NORTH

FROM OLD SAYBROOK:
Route 9 N to exit 15 (RT 66 W); Go straight to the second
traffic light. Turn left onto Broad Street. Continue to the end until the end, then take a right onto Church St. Park behind building

Guys sorry I missed the meeting saturday. I was tied up with Toys For Tots. It took longer than expected. I'll be travelling this week, but should be able to make the next Pre-op meeting at Middlesex.

I posted up some new photos under my profile too.

Hi - During the last post-op group meeting,  I had mentioned that since I'm a member of Curves they give us a "present" each year around the holidays of a few free one-month memberships to give out to friends and family members.  I talked to one of the staff members there the other day and she said that she wasn't sure if they were doing that at Christmas again this year, but that it was something I could ask for at any time. 

There's a lot going on there in the next few months!  They are going to be adding Zumba to the circuit (not sure exactly how yet) and they have just started CurvesSmart, where (for a few dollars extra per month), you get a fob that you use at each station to give you feedback in real-time to make sure you "stay continually challenged and achieve your potential on every machine, during every workout." At the end of the workout, you get a "progress report that shows your overall muscle strength, your calories burned and how close you are to reaching your goals." Seems really cool...I'm going to be signing up for it soon, so if you're interested, I'll let you know how I do with it.
