Topic: February meeting - What did you miss?
ONE OF OUR VERY BEST MEETINGS TO DATE! ....More great handouts! Some sample products and the best of all.... sharing of common successes and challenges we each face on a daily basis. We decided to post a single personal issue that we want to address to help us on our journey. Mine is to be more faithful to my exercise program... working out a minimum of 3 times per week. Got started on that this morning... Yay me! Lynne committed to keeping better track of her food log to increase her accountability (see her post!)... She started changing her behavior immediately... YAY LYNNE! ... will be looking for other members to post in the near future! .... Thanks to all my friends for helping me walk this road.     Dan

Lynne... I am proud of you! We each identified an issue we want to deal with and decided to make a public commitment to help us change our behavior. You are the first to post! That shows me that you are committed to making this change..... and you are sooooo right in saying we can help each other through sharing our common successes and challenges.
I also took my first step in honoring my commitment to increasing my exercise routine.. I stepped on to the eliptical torture machine this morning and had a good workout. I will post again at the next opportunity! The Central Connecticut Cares support group really does.... well there seems to be no other way to say it.... we CARE about each other and ourselves! Have a wonderful day!   Dan

Topic: Looking forward to Meeting on Feb 12th

Dear CCC members

I have not been very active lately because I have been hav ing some major problems with my foot .   Unfortunately.  it resulted in a infection that landed me in the hospittal for 10 days then another 6 weeks at Gaylord Rehab Center for IV antiboitice therapy.

Well if  I have to be in the hospital then this is the best time to do it.   I don't have to shovel snow, I dont' have to drive in the snow and I get my meals bought to me I do for cardio and strength training... I am on crutches and can go anywhere in the building.... So this is not to bad

My release date is Feb 11 I am thrilled to say.   That means I can attend the CCCare meeting on Sat the 12th.   I hope the snow stops long enought to allow us to meet.

I know with the snow falling I find myself  falling into some old habits and that nasty head hunger is creeping in.   I hope we can all take a deep breath and help each other figure out what will get us thru the winter.

See you there on Sat the 12th
Gloria
