Topic: Day 6 Find a Diet Coach
Someone you can talk to about challenges, food plan, and anything else related to this journey.  I plan to primarily use this group and and I  do have a friend IRL who I can call reguarly to discuss diet and exercise needs. This group and OH will be a part of my diet coaching as wel.

Beverly - I'm 4+ years out from my lap band surgery and I find that planning and preparing to maintain  is even more important now than when I was losing.  WE CAN DO THIS TOGETHER!!!!!

Motivations to lose weight:

Prove to myself I did not fail my surgery.

Like what I see in the mirror.

Be able to shop in some of the nicer shops for clothes.

To run and not have my knees hurt and not have to be concerned as to how it looks.

To be healthy and have more energy.

To be able to get my rings off.

 

Perceived Disadvantages

 

Its time consuming to have to plan to get healthy and can be expensive.

Feeling uneasy in my skin…bones that protrude and layers of fat that is in the way all the time.

Regaining what I have lost and having to start again to sabotage myself.

Hi ladies, my mane is Bev. I have always had a weight issue, my WLS was Jan 23 2001 at that time I weighed 347, in just over a year I manage to get just below 200, and stayed there for about 1 ½ year…since then I have consistently gained over the years about 90 pounds. In July 2009 I decided I had had enough and started to turn it around. It has been very hard but since then I have lost 23 pounds. This is only the beginning…I still need to loose about 90 pounds to be at goal..

I am addicted to food of all kinds especially sugar and junk food, I have a tendency to be very lazy and I am so very tired of sabotaging myself. I know I need to make some drastic changes and those changes have to happen in my mind so I can be successful at losing and keeping off these unwanted pounds.

One of the reasons I gained the weight back was I was not part of any support groups. I tried to do it on my own. I now know I can not and do not want to do this on my own.

I have just heard of the BDS for the first this week, I still do not have the book but I have been finding a lot of information about it on the net. I hope to get the book this week.

I have already started working on some of the things that I have read, so I’m going to just jump right in and join you all.

1. Trigger to pig out - boredom, feeling rejected

2..Trigger to graze - not planning and preparing meals


3.  Trigger to be compliant - seeing the scale move, clothes fitting better

aahh yes...that anxiety beast... rears his ugly head more frequently when he's not being fed. I am SOOO sick of him! I am determined to beat it!! I want to be happy damn it!! Here's to our new journey!

Sounds good, Im still reworking mine. As you can guess from my screen name flexibility is important to me.

1. Follow Pouch Rules No drinking 30 min prior and 1 hour after
2. All Vits
3. at least 60 g protien
4. Must have breakfast/ or at least a shake and lunch/ or at least a shake
5. at least 64 oz water
6. aim for 1000 calories
