Today I took the time to consider my weekly schedule. I have never been one to live by the rules not even my own rules. I am currently retired (dh is not impressed) I was looking after my grandkids but my son in law got fired last week so he stays with the kids now.
So time is not an issue for me but laziness is! I have often made schedules but they never last very long…maybe this time will be different. I can see a challenge coming on LOL
I did schedule in time for the gym and the Wii. I haven’t been to the gym in a very long time I know as soon as I get there I will wonder why it took me so long to get back…(lazy remember). I also have put a limit on my computer time. I don’t really enjoy cooking so I will cook 2-3 dishes on the same day then I will freeze them for later in the week. I have also scheduled an earlier bed time, I have been thinking I need about 8 hrs instead of 61/2 -7 hours.
I do want to go back and re read some of what I read this morning before the nights up.
This afternoon my dh had an appointment downtown so I went with him and it was such a nice day we went for an hour walk, it was about 2:00 so I said lets have lunch. I choose homemade chilli and with it came 2 slices of homemade rye bread and I ate them. There were some nice big PB cookies sitting there and I debated for about 5 mins. I though I will just get one and share it with dh. I won we left the restaurant cookie-less.
Then we strolled down the street and stopped in to one of the $ stores, I lost that battle there but I shared that chocolate bar with my dh. I came home and made supper and now the kitchen is closed

FreeSpirited1, I’m sorry you are not feeling well, and the struggle well, we knew it would come….. I read it in the book……and it will come again before were done…but we are learning how to combat it!
Yes, you have… had a DAY!! Things happen and we have to make a choice right away about what we are going to do about it.
I think you did great considering we are only on day 8, I am positive that the habits that you formed to get to you were you are right now DID NOT happen in eight days. Honestly I see this BDS being an on going thing, it is unrealistic to think we can concur this in just a few weeks. I know I will have to repeat some days over and over till I get it right. Not sure if I have a thick skull or just stubborn, both I guess.
Just take a look at what you did right, you encountered some food pushers.
You did not eat outside of your plan at lunch time, congratulations!
You refused an ice cream bar congratulations again!
That candy bar overtook you, held you down and said “EAT ME or else" LOL
You went to the store was tempted to buy those goodies instead you use an appropriate response. And left that stuff there, congratulations!
Don’t be so hard on yourself, it happened its over and as you said move on.
We learn from our challenges and that’s what this was.
Have you considered letting you your co-workers that your starting a new way of eating?
All things considered i think you did very well!!!

Ok so I ate it, then I had to stop by the store on the way home...a little voice in the back of my head said....screw it you already messed up today, go ahead and get some goodies, you arent feeling good anyway, you are stressed, and why bother, you cant keep this up , you arent meant to be thin anyway...
And I stopped the thought. I told myself that just because I got off the plan does not mean I must throw away the entire day. So I left the food at the store and came home . Now I am a bit down about it ..BUT I must apply what Ive learned so far. Congratulate myself for what I did right, stay in today and move on. Im going to re read what I;ve read so far b/4 I put anything else in my mouth today (exept to finish my water and vits)

I want to use this site to keep myself accountable and to find out why I sabotage myself . Up to this point I have lied to myself about why i can't lose the weight. It is time to uncover the truth about why I do this to myself, over the next few weeks I plan to expose myself in a big way!
I'm counting on your support and I plan to be there for all of you too. Together with BDS, We Can Do It!!!!!!
