Remember that you do not have to work at the pace of 1 lesson per day.  I know that when I worked Beck's last year, there were some calendar days when I could work more than 1 Day of the Beck's Diet Solution.  BUT, there were other Days of Beck's that took me several calendar days to complete.

Work the program at a pace that is comfortable for you.  One thing I decided early on in the program was that I could not take Dr Judith Beck's advice to not star****ching my food until after 1 week on the program.  It just didn't make sense to me.

Also, there were some aspects of the program that I could never do.  Specifically, I could never plan my next day's food plans.  Part of the reason for that is that my wife does the cooking and she usually doesn't decide what to have for dinner until that day's morning.  However, I could commit to portion sizes and meal  contents, i.e., protein, complex carbs, etc per meal.

I am making my craving distraction box, here are some of the items I am putting in:
gum, my favourite tea bags, nail file, nail polish, hand cream, some pictures, a diet book, a stress ball, my 5 mind set technique list, bottle of water, tooth paste, small bottle of bubble bath and response cards that say:
“I can tolerate this craving, it will only last for a few mins."
“If I give in…. (wrong muscle)…is it worth the gained pounds that will be there in the morning?"
“I have to work to build up my resistance muscle, visualize the end result.“
I have not had any real cravings for a little while but I thought I would just for-warn my Give-In Muscle that I am armed and dangerous!!!

I am hoping this link will take you to a pic of my CDB.

My day was rough.. I did resist some cravings with the techniques, but some of them I just gave into, but boy this program is beginning to take me through some very uncomfortable changes. Headaches form hunger and stress and just plain overload at work and home right now. I am going to bed and trying again tomorrow. I had 3 hours of sleep last night. Moving Forward.

That's my status for today..what's yours?

Welcome Sportsmom, you are welcome to jump in  on what ever day you are working on.
Free and I are on Day 13, and I don't think either of us have looked ahead. It looks as if Day 14  workbook is the food plan  for the following day, Diet Day begins on Day 15. So I would say just carry on!!!
Good to hear you are able to ignore the cravings and desires.

I think I have gotten off track somewhere or skipped ahead. I am on Day 15.   Do I need to step back for a couple of days?     I haven't had any issues with hunger.   I have had lots of cravings and desires in the past, but I kept ignoring them and don't have them as often.

Do any of you have the workbook?  I have a question about it....On Day 14, it had a daily schedule and food plan.   I filled it out the night to use for that day.    Now, I am thinking that the forms on Day 14, may have meant for Day 15.   Does this make sense?  Does matter which way I do it, as long as it gets done?

No Free it's not just you. this is hard, but you no what it's mind over matter, just go bac look at your reasons for doing this, tell yourself you can do it. If you are still starving with headache, drink a protein drink just to take the edge off. you can do this you are strong and have gotten this far..

Putting it on paper is a great idea..the good the bad and the ugly...helps you to see patterns in your eating habits. Some people say that it helps them to be accountable.
I have done that in the past and it worked for a while... my plan this time is to put it on here. I want my Diet Coaches to be able to see it.
