Identifying Sabotaging Thoughts
It is important to recognise your unique sabotaging thoughts and respond to them effectively. The book says that eating off plan doesn't happen automatically-- that almost always it is preceded by a thought or series of thoughts.
Take the time to tune in and pay attention to those thoughts, identify and be aware of them. As you go through out the day jot these down as they occur.
This one is a biggie for me,
“I’m entitled to have it, I don’t need to justify why". “Yes, but I am also entitled to be healthy and at goal, which one do I want more…Its my choice".
Never before have I stopped to think about what I am thinking before I shove that no-no in my mouth. I will be paying attention to this in the future.

Melva, sounds like you are well on your way, what an exciting time in this journey, a hard journey, yes, but well worth it to get our lives back on track. “We can choose to let the thoughts control our actions either positive or negative.." so true in every aspect of our lives. I consciously choose positive thoughts!

Good for you Melva, armed and ready to fight the Carb Monster, the cheese and vegs right next to the snacks (good idea)….that’s WAR…. LOL. I see Day 29 talks about Food Pushers, looks like you are at the front of the class already!
I think we get to a spot in life were we have tried every thing but the right thing, and I truly think this is the right thing, this CT is going to help us make LIFE LONG changes……..WE GET IT now……We understand what we need to do to succeed and now….we are a work in progress!!!!!

I have taken a few days to get over my fear of day 25, during those few days I have gone back over some of the previous days and made some changes and adjustments. I think today is the day to move on to Day 25...I don’t like it, I don’t want to BUT that’s life there are just some things that are NO CHOICE and day 25 is one of them for me…so here I go moving on through this journey.
I was able to get to the gym this morning, haven’t been for a week due to no van. After about 20 min on the Tread Climber I was pooped and didn’t know if I could continue but I did. I went for a full 45 min and then 15 min on the bike. Felt sooooo good once it was done!

As I move through the chapters of the BDS, It's not easy to change something I have been doing for a lifetime, which is why I read my advantages more than once or twice a day, I keep them on me, before I do anything I review them and the response cards are also helpful, I especially Like NO CHOICE. When I told a co-worker that she just looked puzzled and stopped offering the usualy nightly food runs, you know the vending machines, home made cookies banana bread nuts, whatever food that is sat out for us to grab and eat.
I am a nurse and we sometimes are running and cannot stop for a "Lunch Break". What I have done is in my meal planning, cut up cheese and vegetables put in a zip lock bag sit next to their snacks along with my big glass of water always filled with ice. I am going to always be ready to combat the Hungry Monster
That has been working for me for the past couple days, please pray for me I am doing all I can to continue this for the rest of my life. My thoughts on that is that type of grabbing and continuously eating is what has helped me to get into this issue of overeating and obesity.
Any suggestions will help I do use any suggestion sent to me we all are so creative and I am sure as the rest of you all, lets do whatever it takes to make this happen.We need each other as a group, as a group we can and will succeed.....
