The easy way out!! shakes head These people need to ask them selves what is easy about having your insides rearranged, Yes we chose to have the surgery. If we needed surgery to have a heart valve repaired or have a piece of our lunge remove due to smoking we would have to give our consent to have that surgery, is that taking the easy way out? No, these surgery’s are life saving and improve the quality of life. What we did was make a choice to live. I would do it again in a heartbeat. Okay, thats enough of that, this subject makes my blood boil. LOL

Master the Seven Question Technique
We will use the last 2 days to help with this exercise. Using the sabotaging thoughts and thinking mistakes we have wrote in our diet notebooks we are to analyze them using the 7 questions she has designed and make Response Cards to help us speak to our sabotaging thoughts.
Read these Response Cards daily and whenever the need arises.
Hmmm, just when I think things are getting easier. I almost want to stay here for a day or two BUT I won't.
"I am just trying to avoid really looking at the truth. Once I acknowledge the truth, I will not feel comfortable in justifying and ignoring those sabotaging thoughts and thinking mistakes". I know I will be back here before long though. Oh well, off to write some response cards.

I am five years out and my starting weight was 476lb and my
weight to day is 233lb. I know I should have already be at my goal, it's funny I have days when I can only eat what only my stomach can hold.
I take my vitamins like clock work now its been long time seance I have any protein, so yes I need a new start, and the best I haven't gain any weight back yet, I have been at the same weight for about a year and half.

I feel blessed daily, and as I go over my advantage list, I add to it at least 2 advantages, there is so much to live for and to be healthy and happy for. I know some people think I took the easy way out but I don't care it was right for me and they are wrong this is hard, in fact the hardest thing I have ever done and it's something I have to work on for the rest of my life. It's hard but it's worth it.

I agree that skipping from day 1 straight to day 4 would not be wise. And I think reading through the whole book before actually starting, might scare the dickens out of me and then I would probably not start day one at all, but thats just me.
This is a process that may require some to stay on an exercise for an additional day or 2 or 3, and may even need to go back to certain days to recap what you learned, even Beck has stated this in the book.
I really don’t see any point in just moving on if your not benefiting from it. I personally feel if I was to skip a step just because……. I would be cheating myself, so there for I try everything she suggests and will keep coming back to it till I get that step right.
Once I have done the full 6 weeks then I will just focus on the days that I still have issues with. I love this program and consider myself to be a lifer.

Recognize Thinking Mistakes
Your thoughts are just ideas, not necessarily truths.
A thought can be three fold:
Completely true
Partially true
Completely false
Recognizing and correcting accurate thoughts is an essential skill for succeeding on a diet.
The book gives us 9 common thinking errors, to go with today’s exercise.
