Deal with Plateau is Day 38 in the BDS book. I have been writing a little intro to each day as I go through the book
.I am very happy with my weight loss since I started Becks, I have last 11 pounds in the 38 days....i'm good... no plateauing here... yet LOL

Deal with a Plateau
Plateauing is a normal part of weight loss, we would like to go through our weight loss journey without them but they happen and we just have to say “oh well” and stay focused.
Some times it happens weeks or even months after losing a significant amount of weight, 15-20 pounds.
This is when our bodies thermometer tries to adjust and catch up with the loss.
If you have been on a plateau for a 3-4 weeks
-reduce your calorie intake by 200 calories
re-examine you food journal, are you taking in too many calories?
- increase your exercise by 15 minutes
switch your exercise up a little to shock your system
- you may need to increase your calories by 200
maybe your body is stuck in a starvation mode
Weight it out and be realistic
I wonder if my weight gain Plateaus? I seem to think when I am gaining weight I consistently gain 1-2 pounds or more a week!

Reducing Stress
Three steps to lower stress:
1. Identify & solve the problem.
2. Relax
3. Change your mindset:
Mild stress is okay. Moderate to high levels are counterproductive.
Consider changing the wording you have in your self imposed rules:
Should /Shouldn’t - replace it with Realistic
Always / Never - replace it with reasonable
Beck says, "Once I take steps to reduce my overall stress, dieting will be easier."
When you notice yourself feeling stressed, examine why your feeling stressed, and take steps to reduce the stress.

Bev- Yes, I like your idea about hitting each chapter again, but not necessarily spending a whole day on each one. I think I may lump the ones I don't need as much together, and spend a day or two on each that I know I need again. I will probably end up spending six weeks on it again, but this time, I will be focusing on my weak areas more.
I will go over the book again, I like has you thinking, so your head and your stomach/mouth are working together...

I think I will read through each day even if I have mastered that day just because there might be a little something I missed this time around.
I also plan on going to the original post and adding something to each day. Some days I may do 2 or 3 chapters in a day but then on days that I need to focus more I may spend a day or two trying to get all I can from that day.
I don’t think the second time around it is as important to go day by day. I need to work on day 4, 5, 13, 16, 19, all week 4 and a few days in week 5. Some days need more work then others.. a lot more LOL
