Good for you April, I am a firm believer that if you look good you feel better about your self., and your confidence is boosted.

You go girl.... take care of you, spend some quality time on you....Reward yourself.. .. you deserve it!!

Tonight my hubby and I went out shopping, almost every where I looked they was Easter stuff.
I don't  think an Easter weekend has ever passed by that I did not eat a whole white chocolate bunny.  This year is different!!!

Tonight I avoided looking at anything that resembled a bunny.
I just said to myself, " Do you want chocolate are do you want to be thin? It' s your  choice BUT you can't have it both ways".
 The only think that went in my mouth while I was out was black tea. All bunnies remain unharmed and are safe sitting on the shelves at the store. LOL

Today, I give myself credit for:

  parking the truck at one end of the strip mall and walking to the other
  not being tempted to buy and junk
  sticking to my planned menu for today
  planning my food plan for tomorrow

Deal with it is right. We have to be realistic and sometimes truthful with ourself in EVERYTHING  we do. Plateaus are a normal  and we will overcome if we continue to follow our plans..

I have Biotin, and it is helping a lot.    I am going to get my cut.  I put the girls at work on a mission and we found me a hairstyle.    so, I am going to bite the bullet and get it done.     I am no longer in plus size clothes.   At my mother's urging, I started wearing makeup.   The last transformation is get my hair out of a ponytail and styled.    So I am going to do it, either today or tomorrow, depending on how soon I can get in.

April I have very think hair and it grows quickly, my daughter came home and said you got your hair cut….its pretty short eh!

 

Buy some Biotin to help strengthen you hair and nails. I get mine at a health food store but you can get it almost anywhere you get you vitamins.

Most people that have WLS have hair issues about 4-5 months after surgery and then about 6-7 month it starts to grow back in. Even I lost major hair in my brush, on my shoulders, in the shower it was just every where.

I have heard that it is from the anaesthesia.

Oh no...I probably would have cried all day.   I get really upset over my hair.    The hardest part of this journey for me or discouraging part, i should say, is my hair.  It was falling out like crazy.   It has slowed down, and is almost to a normal loss now.    It just hasn't started growing back yet.   I have thought about getting it cut, but I am scared they will mess it up.    I stress in the mirror every day over my thinness.    The people that I think would be the most honest have said it looks fine, but yesterday someone out of hte blue commented on my thinning hair.  I was just devasted.   I had to do some self-talking so i didn't go eat something or get mad.

I wonder if when I am gaining weight…if I hit plateaus at that time….I guess I will never know because I ‘m not going that way again!!!!!

Glad to hear your 6 month check up went well.

I decided since it was such a lovely Spring day out that I would get a hair cut. LOL the guy scalped me… thank God my hair grows quickly. Now I am off to find a hat, to cover up.

Sorry, I misunderstood....I read the part about consistently gaining weight, and thought you were having issues.

I went to the doctor yesterday for my six month visit.    They were happy with my progress.  Of course, they want me to exercise more, but other than that, it was great.
