April, way to go!!!

I remember what my Doctor said to me about 3 months after my surgery. I had just gotten it cut, it was all ways about shoulder length and I had it cut so I could spike it. Well when I say him in his office the first thing he said to me, even before How are you?  Was, "that hair cut has taken 10 years off you".

I hope you get some real positive comments about your new do!

This made me laugh.

Bev-I am so proud that you didn't eat the bunny.

Melva-I have a crazy picture of a Fuzzy Bunny in my head now, that will probably stick there and be reminded of it everytime I see a chocolate bunny...LOL

I bit the bullet and got my haircut.    She messed it up.   Well, not really, but it wasn't what i asked for, so I am disappointed.   I think it can still do what I want, i just have to go back and have it shaped correctly.   It doesn't look bad, actually looks alot better.  It is much fuller than it was before.

I am at work, but I haven't seen anyone important yet.   I am waiting to see what they say too.

Baja, welcome to BDS Group. I have know a lot of WLS people that have lost their weight and then gained back 15-20 pounds, some that put 90-100 pounds back on. We here at BDS all agree that the surgery we had was on our belly’s and it is up to us to perform the work on our brains, and we have found that working this CT program seems to be the key to freeing our minds.

I am glad to hear that you are going to start working the book again, can I suggest that you start at Day One, do exactly as the book says no matter how insignificant or silly the step may sound…….the reason being……it will work for you…… if you just do it!

As far as the carbs, I too can eat far more carbs than I should , they just go down so easily because the are “sliders". Try going Cold Turkey on the carbs (pun intended), the protein will fill you up and keep you full and satisfied you much longer. The pounds will begin to drop off ,and you will feel in control and empowered once again.

Just try it for 1 day, then do it again for 1 day and keep going. Your goals are far more important that feeding that carb monster.

So glad you have decided to join us, please post often, share what day you are working on. We are here to support , encourage and be supported and encouraged.

ALRIGHT BEV!!!

That  was fantastic, and remember that  any candied bunnies are your enemy.  instead of the candy bunny, get  big Fuzzy Bunny, a stuffed one, and every time you think of the edible bunny, rub the fuzzy bunny's toes..lol

You can do it   NO CHOICE NO CHOICE

Hi

I am alittle over 26 months out from the VSG surgery.  I did great lost my weight, and maintained for about a year... over the last 6 months my weight has crept up alittle bit at a time and I am ready to work on my issues which are not exercising and eating "treats".  I started the work book and got to about day 10 and stopped.  I would like to lose 15 lbs and maintain.

With a VSG I can eat anything, my sleeve has not streched, I can not eat more than 4-5 oz protein, some veggies/fruit, but I can eat alot of Carbs!  Like all WLS, Grazing is a problem.

I've been thinking I needed to get back to my book... I tripped over it earlier in the week when I was cleaning my car...I think of going into therapy, this seems like a good start to getting where I want to be! and working on my issues.

Thanks

Baja
