I would make sure I  took lots of protein powder or even the pre mixed ones are more convenient.
Are you staying at a hotel? If you are , and there is a fridge bring lots high protein food items.

Sliced meat, cooked chicken, hard boiled eggs, nuts, cottage cheese, yogurt  maybe tuna salad. Take some fruit and raw vegs. Maybe buy some bottled water.  Freeze the water and place with your food items to keep them cold.

You could always go to the grocery store once you get there and get some of these items. Don't forget to take some cutlery.

I think the key is to really spend some time planning your meals for those days and stick to it. Stay far away from the fast foods and carbs like muffins, donuts burgers and fries.

Throw a few Low carb, high protein bars in your purse. Take some gum, its boring if you are traveling and eating is a great pass time but it is hard to eat if you are chewing gum.

I haven't really traveled yet, so I don't have anything to add to what Beverly said.    However, I do have an all day meeting with the army on Saturday.   Last time, they had food I could eat, roasted chicken.  It was so dry that it made me sick.   I think this time, I am going to take my own lunch.   Then I will be going out of town the next week-end, so I have a game-plan for it now too.   Thanks ladies.

April, I agree that I really benefited from day 25-26 as well, I too moved on when it was weigh in day in the book because my weigh in day is on Fridays.

When eating out grill chicken or fish is always a great choice. I love Cracker Barrel too, we don’t have any here but when we go to Watertown that is where my hubby likes to eat.

Most places we go to eat ,do not have very healthy kids meals Pizza, hamburgers, pasta ect.

Thanks guys, for the words of wisdom regarding the cookie. When I looked at my food plan and the calories I took in today that cookie had more calories than other item that I ate.

I looked at your profile and I'm impressed with your weight loss and committment to continued weight loss.  The important thing I see in your message is that you are planning.  I don't know how far in advance you plan your meals.  It sounds like you will be unable to control exactly what you will be eating each day of your business trip.  If that is the case, make a committment to stay on portion sizes of various foods per meal:  for example, you may want to have 2 eggs for breakfast with wheat toast and a piece of fruit.  You know what sort of diet you have been following and you can plan out your portions.  It will probably help to write down what you plan on eating each day and to keep track of what you are eating during the day.  If you are in restaurants, you probably won't be able to measure your meals, but you've been following your post-op program long enough to know how much you can eat at each meal.  I know it will seem like a shame when you can't take leftovers back to your room.  The cost is $$ vs fat is hard to get through our (MY) skulls sometimes.  It makes more sense healthwise to eat less in the long run even if it seems like we are wasting money in the short run.

As per the protein shakes, if you don't want to take your whole container of protein with you, look to see how many scoops are in a serving.  Then take multiple servings by transferring the scoops to another container.  Since I've used the same brand for years, I have multiple scoops--I don't throw out the scoop when I'm done with my protein container.  You may want to put your protein in a zip-loc bag or some jar.  You can either bring the scoop with your or measure how many oz are in a scoop and then take that amt for your portion.

You can do this.  You are a good example for everyone else who is trying Becks.

Thanx Bob I really appreciate the compliment just what I need to hear to make this work  for me this time I will get to my goal weight. Becks is the same but a different approach to what we want to accomplish. I will take my food and your right It's hard to get over the cost $$ vs fat, I too a thick skull'd, but it is starting to soften each day I go through the BDS.

I think I am gonna write my plan and follow and journal as I go...

I will do this and again ...Thanx
