Resist Food Pushers

Do You have a problem saying no at a social event, to your family, to your co-workers? Are you concerned about hurting the food pushers feelings?

This chapter shows you how to say no. How to prepare yourself in advance for these type of situations.
Ask yourself is the cost greater for you and your goal  or the other person?

Thanx Beverly,

That is absolutely right and we should Make it known what our plans are and if folks still push food on you I would have a problem telling them  NO!!!

It’s a trap, it’s a trick.

I spent 1 hour at the gym first thing this morning, then I needed to go to the Auto Shop to get something for my vehicle. Service fellow say it will be about I/2 hour. so I say, I will go upstairs to the caf and have a coffee.... he gives me a complementary ticket for the coffee.

I go upstairs ask for the coffee and there sits about 2 dozen M&M cookies, large ones, fresh baked. Here’s how it goes

I say" oh, those look good“!

She says “ have one“!

I say “Oh no, that’s okay"! and I’m thinking I am trying to lose weight and cookies are not on the plan for today

She says “go ahead there complimentary", awe free food.

I say “well maybe I will then, thank you “, thinking I just spent 1 hr at the gym

Shaking her head It’s a trick, it's a trap. LOL

So there I go, so much for ..I don’t have any people in my life that push food on me right now. I just read this chapter yesterday. That cookie cost me 220 cals and 26 carbs grrrr LOL

That's ok we all get off sometimes but stop right no and look at your advantages. Remember 1 cookie maybe 220 calories if you keep eating it will be 2200calories and 2600 gms of carbs. NOw think isn't it better to stop at 200 than be pissed at yourself for adding 2000.

You can Do it the cookies are the enemy. This is an all out war, and I know you can win if you want to.

DON'T WORRY ABOUT THAT 1 COOKIE KEEP YOUR EYES ON THE TARGET= YOUR GOALS..

CALL ME IF YOU NEED ME I AM HERE...go to my personal mail I will give you my number

I agree with Melva, don't beat yourself up over the one cookie.   It was a disappointment, OH WELL and move on.     Give yourself credit for stopping at one.

I have picked back up on the book. I am on Day 26.    I noticed that as much as 25 and 26 scared, they are probably helping me the most.    Today has been a big help.    Tomorrow I will be on day 27.  Since I usually weigh on Thursdays, I am going to do day 28 (get ready for weigh-in) tomorrow as well.  Do you think this is ok?
