GET READY TO WEIGH IN
Today is about preparing to weigh in and making a weight graph

Some advantages of weekly weigh-ins are

-They allow us to celebrate and build up confidence when we've lost weight

-They keep us honest if we've gained

-They help us stay committed

Beck says "It's important for you to start using the scale as an information tool that provides data you can use to guide your eating." "On any given day, the number on the scale is exactly what it should be, given what you ate, how much energy you expended in the past few days, the amount of fluid your body is retaining, and other biological influences"

She recommends using a graph to chart weight loss and gain and use it as a point of reference. It along with the food plan will help to better understand if any tweaking needs to be done to the food plan or exercise routine. Its just one more tool to assist in reaching goal!!

Some people do well with daily weigh  ins others it just gets them down and depressed, it can

be our best friend or our worst enemy.

I find that if I don't weigh in for a while, I get afraid to weigh in, and my weight just spirals out of control. When I ignore the scale, I all so ignore what I eat, and before you know it I’m in trouble. This is why I get on the scales daily, for me to avoid the scales it is just one more way I sabotage myself. The number on the scale is data, it’s an indicator of how I’ve stayed with my food plan and how well I’ve done with my exercise. Right now my scale motivates me!!!

I love the idea of a graph, last year in June I kept one for 2 months. Together a graph and a food diary was a real eye opener for me. I am looking forward to starting an other one tomorrow.
