I will check in daily, this group can be beneficial to all who choose to involve themself.
As I work through the BDS prep for my new way of life, their are some challenges in doing the prep.
It is all starting to make since it is all about thinking and putting those thoughts into reality.
How many times have you gotten up and started eating without thinking, well that was my former way of life.
I did try this new thing,a good friend told me about, I'd get up at night and graze, I mean unconciously go in the kitchen and throw something in my mouth, as if it was a reflex. Well I am training myself, to be in control of everything I put in my mouth. 
First of all keep cold water in the fridge at all times.
When I get up I make myself go and get an ice cold glass of water and drink the entire glass before I get anything else. Both times the water satisfied me and I didn't eat any else.

Now is that fantastic or what, just remember stick to whatever your plan is. "IT WILL WORK FOR YOU AS LONG AS YOUR WORKING IT"

I so agree Melva, after reading each day so far in TBDS and thinking about it, it all seems so simple, the steps we are taking to succeed are not difficult steps. I agree that we are re directing our thoughts in a different direction and being determined to make a change…a change for the better, a life changing change. The changes and choices we are asked to make each day can be a challenge but if we are determined to succeed it will be worth it in the end.

I have some 50 years of habits built up and I know that as I tackle each one I will eventually be able to defeat them all, it may take me several tries but I am willing to keep trying till I get it right.

Excellent idea about the ice cold water. Quite often I think I want some thing but don’t know what and then it turns out that I was just thirsty.

I had a rough day today, I have van trouble, spent the whole day at the auto shop from 9:30 when I had the van towed there  till 3:30.

Finnally they tell me they can fix my van for a price, of course .....$2000.00   My van needs a new modular, no getting around it. Ya right dude, thanks for  wasting my whole day to give me that little bit of news......The fellow that I was dealing with was sooo rude that I actually told him off and still might report him.

I just left the van there in the shop, I'll have to decide what to do with it but in the mean time it will sit there for a day or two. I think it will be going to van heaven!!

Read Advantage Lists  2 xs a day or more if needed
Sit Down, Slow Down, Enjoy Each Bite
Credit myself
Be accountable here daily
Exercise is not an option
Be aware of cravings and desires
Plan meals today for tomorrow

I was thinking today at the gym, how this last few weeks  doing this BDS has changed my attitude towards losing weight. It is so simple...just make a choice to change your ways and think differently. Up to this point dieting was such a struggle, right now it is really not that much of a struggle....I know this will not always be this easy but I am going to live in the moment right now and ENJOY  this journey!!!!
I was reminded today of  a phrase I use to use all the time that went like this;
"You are were you are right now because this is where YOU choose to be. If you are not happy with where you are right now then YOU have to make the change".

Right now I am in the middle of making changes in my life and I am happy to be making them. It may take me a bit of time to get it right...I may fall of the wagon many times BUT I choose to work on the changes each day till I perfect them.

I was also thinking today about the Advantage list, one of the things on my list is to get rid of the back boobs- back fat....I keep  checking it in the mirror and I'm soon going to need to get a training bra for those things LOL I can't wait to start stroking things off my Advantage list!

I agree 100% thinking things out so far is working, and girlfriend I choose to change where I am now, just because I want to and the power to change is within me. I am Happy now with my almost 200# weight loss but I will be happier when I reach My goal. I have went public about my wants, needs and desires and I have lots of support including us here on OH. I am the type of person that not so much constant but continuous on going support.
I will complete this journey and it helps to talk every day on line to us-our group-, we are walking the same path or journey.

I am here with you, as we both get rid of the back boobs and will be grateful to see the training bra...LOL

I agree this group can beneficial to those who choose to involve themselves.   I am getting encouragement from all of you and I need it.   I am doing better about the night grazing, but I can see that it was a probelm in the past and could creep up  again.   Last night, I really wanted to eat something, not anything good or bad, just something.    Without realizing it, I used your "ice cold glass of water" and it worked.   It must have been thirst, so I am grateful that it worked because now i will try this alternative instead.

I am glad tha****er worked for you it works for me also. We are all in the same boat each of us the same at the same time different. We all have something beneficial we can bring to the table. As I go through BDS, I am finding it very helpful whereas you are rationaliziing with yourself before sabataging your plans, and if i do keep on don't stop and go back to point zero.
We are here for you as I am sure you are for us...
