Becks Day 5 Eating Mindfully & Slowly
Doing ok preparing my self. Some of these steps should be easy seem to be a little tricky not trying to sabatoge myself. I have been doing a lot of talking to my self and for the most part been hanging in there. My question to the group is what suggestions do you have to make the slowing down more natural what are some of the things you have done. I did use my card that tells me just do it and so far..Mellva
Melva, how about a pulling out the fanciest place setting you have, napkins, a charger ,nice water glass. Put a nice vase on the table or the thing you love the most. Get some nice slow music to listen to, lite a few candles.

Heres what I will do daily to succeed:
Read Advantage Lists 2 xs a day or more if needed
Sit Down, Slow Down, Enjoy Each Bite
Credit myself
Be accountable here daily
Exercise is not an option
Be aware of cravings and desires
Plan meals today for tomorrow

I distract myself ..that works for *me*,..eating with someone, watching tv works for *me* some people eat faster when they do these things.
Also since doing this step I am becoming more picky about what I eat because I am taking my time and noticing the taste, texture...for instance I could shovel in fast food, but would not want to "savor" it b/c it isnt all that tasty to me. Im finding that i have to plan something that I really enjoy eating thats nutritious and tasty.
