Don't have a choice on this one - if I don't eat slowly, chew well, and take small bites I'm in for a WHOLE LOT of pain.

Sat down to eat and ate slowly and mindfully, I prepared my plate, turned on the radio, set a kitchen timer for 20 minutes. I ate slowly and purposefully enjoying ever bite while watching my little timer. I stopped the timer when I had finished... 16 mins. I had taken 16 minutes to eat and enjoy my lunch, it didn't even take that long to prepare it cause it was left overs LOL.

Gave my self credit I am giving my self credit for turning on the radio and getting my timer out because it allowed me to accomplish # 2 & 5. Yah for me!

I have read my Advantage List once today and I added more to it.

1st time 01/31/2010 - 03/14/2010 lost 13 lbs
2nd time started 03/23/2010 -
Heres what I will do daily to succeed:
Read Advantage Lists  2 xs a day or more if needed
Sit Down, Slow Down, Enjoy Each Bite
Credit myself
Be accountable here daily
Exercise is not an option
Be aware of cravings and desires
Plan meals today for tomorrow

I was thinking today about Day 5 Eating Slow and Mindfully… Yesterday at supper my daughter was in a foul mood at supper time and she just kept it up till I finally told her to just shut up and eat. Well the mood was set for just the opposite of day 5’s challenge. I found myself , MINDLESSLY shovelling my food in so I could get away from the table. If I was smart I would have just put my plate in the fridge till her and my dh had finished then continued with my meal, eating slow and mindfully enjoying every bite.

This deserves a Response Card!
