I decided to post this thread with a sticky so we can continue to add things as we go. I felt that this step was sooo important, because I beat myself up constantly. Im noticing people who are successful generally have a positive outlook.

Today I am congratulating myself fo my commitment tolimiting non nutritional food coming into my home. Last night my mom tried to push a bag of powdered doughnuts for me to take to put into my son's lunch box. That would have been the perfect excuse to bring them home, but  stuck to my guns. The past few monhs  at the grocery store it has become almost atomatic to avoid the junk food aisles. I don't even really have to argue with myself in the store not to buy certain things anymore.

I have been eating everything sitting down today and yesterday

I am posting here regularly

I ate some sorbet  in a 1/4 cup measuring container,at the table instead of standing at the freezer and eating a couple of spoonfuls out of the container

I congratulate myself today for sticking to my one-serving-per-day rule for granola. I made a huge batch of it the other day, then portioned it out into baggies. Before I did that, I had a tendency to graze on it -- I'd just grab a handful every time I walked past the container. My new rule is that I can have one serving per day, and I've been sticking to that. I like eating it because it tastes so good to me, but I also like that I'm getting that fiber in, and fighting high cholestrol at the same time.

edited to correct spelling

Yesterday, I had no foods that "I don't eat anymore" because I choose not to.  That's right, I can choose not to eat certain things and eat others.  From my keyboard to God's ears!!
(Last week I ate things like donuts and granola bars that increase my cravings and make me feel out of control.  Yesterday I ate omelets, beefy vegetable soup- things that give me restriction.)  Wow, this feels good, if strange, to congratulate myself!!!
