Hi My name is Jaimee. I am very close to goal but have some weight that no matter what I do does not want to come off. I have a problem with eating too fast, I get full after about two bites, I will keep going until I am way uncomfortable, then pu**** back, sit and go back to it and do the same thing over until it is gone. I know this is what is keeping me from loosing the weight and every day I say i will not do it but I do. Jaimee
Welcome Jaimee, so glad you have decided to join Free and I. Glad to see you have listed your advantages, I love the ones referring to your dh.
I understand the getting full on nothing and going back to your plate repeatedly. The thing with us WLS people is we know what we should and should not be doing, the surgery fixed our stomach but not our brains. I think this is were we will benefit from the BDS,

Hello WLS Family, Monday Feb 15, marks my 4 year anniversary. I am not skinny but I am down almost 200pounds. I feel great, I too have a food obsession, and usualy don't get sick after over eating or eating the wrong things, sometimes I do. I know this is a battle I am going to be dealing with for the rest of my life and I am ready and willy to do whatever it takes to keep me healthy and keep those lost pounds off.
Hi Free spirited1: I stumbled on your site by accident but am glad I found you! I already answered exercise#1 (I am a bit backasswards as usual!!) but here goes:
I have not read beck's book but have heard many good things about it. I would like to be a part of the group. I am 18 mos. post op RNY and have lost over 200 #. However, I struggle with a continued increase in my appetite, most especially for sweets which prior to my surgery were not really a big thing for me at all (more junk food like chips, dips, breads, etc.0 Anyway they are all bad and I need all the support and help and advice I can get and I will willingly do my best to help others also. Like you, I have been morbidly obese my whole life, in fact my mother told the doctors when asked when I started "gaining weight?" that she started as soon as she came out of my womb and never stopped.!!
I still have pouch issues (I can and do get too full and get sick) but other times it's like a bottomless pit and I can eat sweets without dumping as a rule. Like you, I need both to reinforce those pre-surgery rules ( and post ones too) and discipline I guess. Here's hoping we can all help one another. Mary (Molly P)

welcome. there are a couple of people who are very active on the board. Keep in touch with them as well. Becks is great. I dont post daily because I am stepping back from it right now to to medical and spiritual reasons, but it is a great program. Best wishes

Welcome to the group Pat glad you found us we are all struggling one way or another, but with the support and input we are finding a way to make this happen. I myself , I am 4 yrs out never reached my goal but I will this year.
Come on in Start reading the book a day at a time after the intro., that way it only takes a few min. to read I do mine at night in prep for the next day. I don't have a lot of time to sit and read either but with short spurts daily it is now do-able.
We are here to support you so please ask lots of questions and any input will be appreciated.
Again Welcome.
