Horrible eating recently...

I am new to this group and so glad to have found it!!

This is how horrible my eating has been recently...I am under a lot of money stress right now so I guess that is why. Thursday- came home from my mom's house and ate 2 pieces of sugar free chocolate pie that I made- vomited from this. Friday- was at work and stressed. Was actually looking in my purse for change to purchase something from the vending machine when my supervisor came around with a big box of fancy cupcakes. So, I took one- a red velvet cupcake. It was awesome, but I felt like crap for about an hour afterwards. Yesterday- nothing specifically bad other than some peanut butter crackers. Today at work there has been a large bowl of candy out all day and I have ate 7 things from it- 3 of which were peanut butter snickers (fun size). Also, instead of having the healthy food I brought to eat today I ate out with some people instead. Granted, what I got out wasn't terrible (a light club wrap with an organic whole wheat wrap), but it wasn't as healthy as what i brought for sure.

It seems I have started a bad pattern here the last few days and need HELP to get out of it. Also, when I eat the wrong things my protein intake suffers too.

I exercise 3-5 times a week currently and have lost 130 lbs so far (since 12/30/10).

Good for you for recognizing the pattern, excercising and way to go on the 130 POUND LOSS (Whoohoo!)

Going through similar things, but for me the 'bad' stuff doesn't make me feel yucky.

So it seems that you are treating your stress with eating. What else can you do to when you are stressed? You've come too far to use the old habits as crutches. Can you take a quick walk to get a pick me up at work? Call a friend on the way home? Do some quiet deep breathing at your desk? Walk to someone else's space instead of calling or emailing a few times a day?

While you may be feeling bad about your food choice at lunch, it doesn't sound like it was too bad and I'm thinking that with the stressors you probably needed the people time to nourish you just as much as the food.

I guess what's importatnt is that you've realized what you did that doesn't feel good in your body and you can change going forward.

Thanks for responding. Unfortunately taking a walk during work doesn't work out most of the time because I can't do that except on my breaks. I work in a call center so they watch all the time we are on and off the phones. I could potentially do some deep breathing at my desk though.

Today is a new day and I am hoping to be able to make this week a great one!
