Lap Band Buddies
Introduction
Hi my name is Cathie I had my lapband surgery July8,2009 I have lost 103lbs so far I have 22 more to go. The last couple of months have been hard I had to get a complete unfill because I got to tight than got real sick finally last week I was able to get a little fill it has help. I am finally starting on the right track started back to exercising and eating right and trying to follow the band rules. This is great site hopefully this site will catch on. I am from Toms River NJ.

Wow...we're almost identical! I've only gotten an unfill once and it scared me a little to realize that my head still isn't around the eating thing.
I got a small fill last week - first one in six months. Honestly, I put it off during the holidays because I enjoyed the freedom. I didn't gain, didn't lose. Then again, I exercise a lot which probably balances some of it out.
Without fill do you feel like you're mentally different from where you were when you first had the surgery? What's a typical eating day for you? (e.g., liquids only in morning, etc.) Do you track your protein?

I was mentally different when I had the unfill becausae I was sick and what I had to eat was not suppose to be example the went me to eat sherbet drink gatorade and to thepoint anything that I could get to stay down After feeling beter like two weeks before Christmas I didn't want all the restriction that I had prior to being sick but I did try to keep my self some what in line to what I was eating I NEVER EAT LIKE BEFORE THE SURGERY!! I did eat things that I wasn't suppose. I now eat yogurt in the morning a snack mid day some kind protein and veg at lunch snack at mid day
dinner and I almost never miss I have icecream sandwich at night it is sugarfree 100 calories klondikes my dr say it was ok as long not effecting my weight lose or sugar. He also said as long following program I couldn't deprived myself of everything otherwise it won't work! I drink 2 cups coffee and 64-70 oz of water a day plus I am back to exercise program.
