Thanks for starting this, Karen! I'm definitely needing some accountability.

I was banded 18 months ago in Austin, Texas. I've lost 115 lbs, most of it in the first six months and have about another 50 lbs to go to get my goal. I realized today that I lost 10 lbs in 2010. I'm hoping for more than 11 in 2011! For most of last year, I was focused on athletic goals including a half marathon, two full marathons, and a sprint triathlon. I still run a couple of times a week, go to BodyPump three times a week and try to fit in 2-3 other activities (classes, cycling). My next "event" is the 3M Half Marathon in three weeks.

My eating isn't great, especially once I learned what I could get away with. (Puffy Cheetos are the demon food!) I also drink too much wine (since beer isn't on my okay list.) I'd love to have someone to share this part of the journey.

wow, you've done a great job so far...
Are you looking for someone at about the same stage you are?

Wow!  You are rocking the marathons!!!  I feel ya on the wine.  I broke my "wine fast" on New Years Eve -- I so missed from August through December, but I am trying to drink in moderation now -- a glass or two every few days.  Depends on what I have eaten that day.

The bad thing about wine is that is "loosens" up my band so I can eat foods that I can't eat otherwise. That's probably a bad thing to admit but it's very useful when eating out because I'm less likely to have race to the bathroom. Is it the same for you?

I'm open to any "level" of buddy. It would be interesting to talk with people who have been with it a while but aren't to goal yet.

I'm excited to get re-motivated!
