Hi everyone! I had surgery in 2009 and was doing okay keeping off until I decided to go back to school and working full time... talk about the freshman 15? how about 30! I'm so upset and depressed about this and I new that OH would be the place that would have people that understand.
Welcome Amie and Brandi...
It is more difficult to lose the "second time around", but it is possible with going back to basics and a good support system. BOTT is a great forum. I wish you much luck.

When I need motivation to stay on track, I do the same thing of reading articles on the OH Blog and cruise the message boards. I also go to Facebook and Pinterest to check out images with quotes or messages that are meaningful to me. I've been doing lots of reading on OH, and time on Facebook and Pinterest lately.
As far as being on track, below are some articles you might check out that are related to being on track and emotional eating.

Emotional eating is what got a lot of us (me) in the obese category in the first place. You said it Cathy, we are stronger than the situations we find ourselves in. Each one is a challenge in its own.
Keeping my head in the game too!!
Emotions are such a challenge... I've not been doing as well as I was, so I've gone back to read some of the wonderful articles and advice I've found on this site. Need to get motivated again.
Today's plan:

S: 1/2 apple with almond butter
L:Turkey meatballs, tomato sauce, Parmesan cheese

Hello Amie!
Glad I am not the only newby ;) I am not sure how often posts get read and get reply's. In the past I found it very slow :/ But I enjoy reading old post and getting pointers from others. I wish you the best of luck in getting back on track!!
I'm struggling to stay on track. I'm eating better than I was a week ago but still pushing the emotional eating envelope.
Lots of emotional triggers for me right now. I'm committing here with you that I'm stronger than the situations in my life right now.
My eats:
B - Coffee
L - 1/2 turkey sandwich
D - Turkey Meatloaf
S - Pear
Keeping my head in the game!

Hi I'm Amie. I had RNY in November 2009. My weight started creeping up last October. I am now 16 lbs over goal. I am trying not to drink before and after eating (started yesterday). This is something I had never done. Yesterday I felt I was continually watching clock (ok drink wait, wait, look at clock, ok now eat ugh). I found this site yesterday and enjoying all the info. I look forward to support and be supported.
*I had originally put my WLS in 2011 it was actually in 2009. Don't know what I was thinking geesh.

Hello,
I'm Brandi and have not used the Obesity Help site in well over a year. Since then I have gained 30 pounds back :( Over the past 2 weeks I have tried to go back to the basics and lose the weight once again and for good!! It is SO much harder now than the first time. I feel as though I no longer have a 'tool' to help me so it is all on me to be in control :/ But I just remind myself I did it before and how GREAT I felt when I was lighter. I am hoping to meet others here who are in the same situation and won't judge as I am finding many people in my daily life are doing who know I had WLS, (the EASY way out as THEY like to call it).
