Hi Ladies,
Thank you both for posting the threads for us to be accountable for our eating. Why don't you two message each other and work out a plan for one to do it one day and the other or maybe take turns weekly. Thank you again!

Head hunger is one of the hardest things for us to battle and win! I agree with not letting the scales be the end all to measure success! Keep up what you are doing and try increasing your protein. I find when I do that I am not as hungry, tummy or head wise Stay in touch!

So this has been what has contributed to my regain. It started in November and I know is in direct relation to the lows I feel in the winter months. Went back to last year and saw the same pattern in weight gain. Less last year maybe 3-5 pounds. This year 5-10 in just 2 months. It had nothing to do with the holidays, but day to day. I have decided not do go extreme and do shakes and only all protein. I have done that twice and while it works it is not the way I want to live. So what it comes down to is how to handle my emotions without eating. I am really trying to identify my emotions as they come up. This sounds simply enough, but the first sign of any discomfort and I leave my body. A learned response has been food from the time I was a child. Being able to tolerate the discomfort which will pass is challenging and I don't always get it right, but I am learning. I expect this to take some time, but I am willing to work toward finding peace with food. Was wondering how others are managing emotionally eating?
You must feel great. I have been up and down 5- 10 pounds since November. I have decided to give the scale a break as I punish myself with it. I know how my clothes feel and they were tight last week. They are feeling a bit better this week. Nothing magical. Being mindful of when I am really physically hungry and really trying to eat only at those times. I eat clean, but my issue has been eating too much and too often. Was reading something recently that was so simply, but made so much sense. If you eat when you are not physically hungry, then how will we you know when to stop. There will be no full signal. Things like this help me get through the day.
CONGRATULATIONS!! I have a goal of 30 lbs to lose and seeing this gives me hope.
Hi all ~ got a nice reminder that joining BOTT isn't enough, I need to say sompin! So I am almost 2 years out and not really off the rails, but have been in a multi-month stall, though I should be losing SOMEthing. I finally figured I must be eating at maintenance so am working on getting my meals dialed in to start losing again. I work out frequently; with a trainer for weight lifting and running and swimming and spin classes. I also joined a new class for 2 months at the gym for twice a week high-intensity workouts. So got the exercise thing down. I log everything on My Fitness Pal but don't think it's accurate with a lot so looking elsewhere, even though I am on a streak at 423 days in a row LOL.
So, enough blah blah blah...here's my day today: Vits, almost all in, take the final calcium in another hour (It's 6 PM here in Anchorage as I write). Water, way behind today, only 60 oz so far. Exercise, 45 min walk, 25 min run
B: protein shake, 2 cups hot tea
L: 3 oz bison, cabbage & onion saute
S: 1.5 oz cheese and 1/2 Opal apple (oh my those are wonderful, we just got those up here)
D: 2.5 oz bison, mushrooms, kale
I actually have head hunger going on this evening, so going to hit the water bottle now. Thanks for letting me participate, hope to share a loss with you soon!!
Kathy
