Weekends have always been easier for me.  The stress at work during the week creates so much anxiety that I feel like I am coming unglued.   Not unlike during the week I always have a plan of what I am going to eat.  If I am going out to visit family, I bring lunch and a snack.  If I am going out to dinner, I decide what I will eat before I get there and don't even look at a menu.  If something unexpected comes up I always have something on hand that I can take with me in a hurry.  I have a better chance of success with planning.  Winging it usually makes my life more challenging and I prefer the peace I get from routine.

Jen - I can't believe I'm reading this... Our stories are so incredibly similar!!

I'm also Jen :-) or Jenny. I'll go by Jenny here.

I had RNY in Feb 2005, so I'm coming up on my 10th anniversary. I can not believe it's been that long!

I lost around 120 in two years and was at my goal weight. I maintained that weight until...

I had twins 3.5 years ago!

I had a hard time gaining during the pregnancy and was in fact back into my regular clothes within a month after I had them. But when they got to be around 18 months the weight started creeping up. I am now 30-40 above goal (which is 140-150) and am feeling very down about it.

I'm not a Canadian but I am a Carolinian... close enough, eh?

Jenny

LOVE THOSE KITTY KATS!

You can do this!  Read the sticky posts and the one on getting back to the basics. That really  helped me and getting all the junk out of the house. I was forced to eat healthy.  And getting back to water, water, water really helped me too.

WE CAN DO IT!

Hi BuckeyeGirl,

The numbers just kept creeping up.  When I hit the 180's, I think my highest was 183 and watching my husband struggle with all his health issues....  Let's just say I was scared straight!

Take a look at the sticky posts above and read the back to basics post. That really  helped me....  I am here for you

Topic: Weekend land mines!

I am sure I am not alone, but the weekends can be challenging.  I try to know ahead of time what I am going to do, where I am going to go and what challenges I may face.  With this knowledge I am prepared with my water and food plans.  It's the last minute challenges.  I am further out so my restrictions are not as black and white as someone in their first year.

What do you do to stay on track and avoid the weekend land mines?
