My weekends are usually pretty laid back, but it is a time that we eat out more. My husband is very consistent with his workouts so it is easy to go with him on the weekends. We did decide to go out to dinner tonight and I've already looked up the menu and decided on what I will order.

After dinner at this particular spot, we usually pop into a treat shop nearby and get something to share afterwards. However, I'm really focused on getting my weight down as much as possible before a warm weather trip coming up in about 5 weeks, so I think I will have the resolve to avoid this...plus my husband knows how hard I've been working on making better choices lately so hopefully he will be okay skipping this place today.

I'm an idiot.  Didn't start the post yesterday cause I didn't know how.  It is so easy.

My eating for today

B- slept really late as I couldn't get to sleep last night so more like lunch

turkey breast  just an once or so

L    Half a turkey sandwich with oat nut bread, turkey, and cheese.  Green beans

S     Half a grapefruit. ( Hubby bought this beautiful LARGE bag of oranges.  He was so proud of them.  Bright orange, large, and cheap

Only problem they were grapefruit in an orange plastic netting.  He doesn't eat grapefruit.  I do and they are really

good but I'll be eating on them forever.)

Dinner -  Probably left over pasta and marinara I'll eat about 1/2 cup and some veggies.

snack      a little cheese before bed if anything.

Today my pouch wasn't wanting to let me eat much, but that is just fine with me....I am trying to find "losing" again as I have finally realized that I've been eating at maintenance, hence the lack of weight loss for several months! Blah!  All vitamins in for the day except my last calcium coming up soon.

B. My delicious protein shake and a nice hot cuppa tea

L. 2.5 oz of lean bison with 1/2 cup of yummy roasted veg (kale, cabbage, onion and a tiny bit of carrot, which was like eating candy!)

D. Went out to a new-to-me restaurant (and I can't believe haven't been there before) and had a scrumptious meal including just about an oz each of roast duck, baked halibut, and filet mignon served with risotto which I didn't eat and some fresh asparagus which I had a bite. My friend had dessert ( she is banded so indulges sometimes) .. which was a beautiful bananas foster. Looked so good -- but it was so easy to resist cuz I was. just. so. full!  I love my RNY ~

Exercise, just walking, this is my rest day - yesterday I had an hour weight lifting workout with my trainer followed by my favorite spin class so got two hours in. Whoo hoo!

Hope everyone has a terrific, fun and safe weekend :)

As I stated in reply to Jen's post and as you stated here it really is all about preparation.  If I have my ducks in a row I am good to go.

Having food portioned out and ready to go makes my life easier.  I am a person that does not need daily variety in my food.  So I could cook a pot of veggies and eat on it until it is gone.  With that being said, if I have veggies cooked in the fridge and protein portioned in 4 oz packages I can cook a meal for my self using my George Foreman grill in 5 minutes or less.  If my salad veggies are cleaned and cut I can put together a small salad while the grill heats and grill the protein while I heat the veggies.  Simple, fast, and healthy.  If I have not made the time to plan and prep then it all falls apart.  I also keep ready to drink protein shakes and protein bars on head as well as fruit.  I can grab and go if something unexpected comes up and that will keep me going until I can cook at home.

It is just so easy to fall off the wagon so to speak.  I have to stay mindful and focused.
