Topic: If not now, when?

Oprah makes that statement in her WW commercial, and it struck a chord with me.  I was struggling to get back on track....about three weeks ago I recommitted to following my program.  I had reached 220 several months ago.  For reasons I won't go into, I "fell off the wagon".  I managed to "hold on" to a degree ...... I stopped losing weight (because I was eating too many carbs) but it wasn't until last month I actually gained weight.  The scale read 239.  Ouch!!!  I knew I'd be in big trouble if I didn't get back to basics ....I've been trying for a long time.  I know my restriction still works...so I went back to following one of the Golden rules:  Dense Protein First!  The scale is down to 224.  I keep thinking of Oprah's words "If not now, when?".  I'm getting too old to waste time -- I need to reach goal - for me.

Good morning botts:

I am back to 208 this morning. 40 lbs. to go. I can't wait to be in onederland once again.  At my current weight clothes are loose on me so I have a new size when I am under 200 lbs.  When I get there that is going to be my forever goal to not be in the 200s ever again.  For now I just want to be back to 207 tomorrow (I saw 207 for a flash last week).  I think 2016 is going to be a year that a lot of us can turn things around. I hope everyone has a great day.  Tri

I like your "pick myself up..."  That has helped me so many times over the years.  I am going to set a 5 lbs. limit like you have when I reach the goal weight.  Happy new year to you and all the botts. :) Tri

Great job! You've got this.

I've got to get back on track as I let the holidays get me sidetracked with more grazing and eating things not on plan. I've gained about 5 pounds and I'm determined to get that under control before it gets worse. My head just hasn't been in the game, but I vow to get back to the healthy habits that work.

Happy New Year everyone

Congratulation !!! 20lbs loss is a huge deal. You really did well. And your deteminstion paid off.

Good luck in the year.

As me - I am maintaining with +/- 5 lbs... Not bad but not as good as I would wish.  So close to my goal , that when I get withing 5 lbs..I just lose motivation... The closer to goal we get the harder it is to lose...

This year I am determined to get healtier. Really avoid foods that I am allergic to, and concentrate on geting strong and fit.

Good morning botts:

I went through photos and began rebuilding books that have been torn apart over the years.  I was looking at photos from 1988 (my highest weight).  I am so glad I turned it around.  I want to get back to my Weight  Watchers lifetime goal weight of 168 lbs.  I will do it one way or another.  We are changing health insurance so I will find a new surgeon and try to get a revision if need be.  I am aiming to eat a lot more vegetacles today.  Have a great day everyone.  Tri
