Good for you staying strong under stress.  My dog (now 10) had ACL surgery on one knee when she was 5 years and the other knee three months later.  She has been fine since.  She walks 3 miles most days and we keep her weight down.

We ate out all day Saturday... tons of salt so I feel puffy this morning.  Have to get back at it on Sunday.  I hope your puppy is ok.  Tri

Yesterday was a HARD one! My puppy hurt her leg jumping off the couch and now has to "limit activity" for at least a week and it seems she will have to be "cautious" in future due to bad knee's :( I was honestly sick to my stomach when she was hurt then stressed beyond belief (although relieved it was not worse) when I found out what the future holds for us!! If any of you have had a puppy you understand. Keep one calm for any real length of time is a chore to say the least. When I came home from work for lunch I was so stressed all I could think was how much i wanted McDonalds :( I mean really bad! But I'm so happy and proud of myself for NOT giving in! I know the amount of stress in my life is going to increase by a good amount but I can not and will not let it be an excuse to eat things that are not good for me. Hoping you all had a good day and that each day continues to get better for each of us.

Good afternoon botts:

I am a cheesehead from Wisconsin.  In making cheese from milk a ton of whey is leftover.  Sometimes it goes down the drain and wasted.  Now they use some of it to make whey protein powder.  A scoop of chocolate flavor in coffee is only 120 calories and the one I use has 2 gms. carb.  One of the carbs is fiber.  It is a delicious treat.  A win win.  I hope you all have a great day.  Tri

B: whey protein coffee

L: egg roll and veggie soup

S: salad with ff dressing, rf cheese and seeds

D: chicken thigh, rf cheese and Santa Fe tortilla

S: baked apple slices with craisins and walnuts

Good evening Brandi girl and botts:

I am doing well, but busy.  I am now taking down the Christmas decorations that I put up over the past several months.  I am back to 208...waiting for 207 to appear again.  I cleaned the whole first floor today for several hours of cleaning and did 3 loads of laundry.  I can eat carbs, but not sugar.

My food today was:

B: Jimmy dean delight

S:  2 clementines, plain Greek yogurt

L: veggie soup and chicken pot stickers

S: salad

D: grass fed beef stuffed green pepper

S: baked apple, craisins and walnuts

I think one of the perks of eating no carbs is the bloating feeling goes away! Even if you didn't realize you were bloated, after a few days you feel lighter and your pants fit so much better! I want to keep track of all the 'perks' and positives of eating healthier so that when I have temptations I can look back at these and find strength!! Hope you all are doing well and best of luck to each of us!

Topic: So Far So Good!

Well so far I have been doing good!! No soda AT ALL this year and not sure why, I don't even seem to miss it. Also, low/no carb eating has been good. I think it helps because my husband is doing along with me. Anytime either of us has thought about sneaking a little something (carbs) we shouldn't the other has been strong and gotten us through it!! Fingers crossed it continues. I think if we can do this for a couple of weeks then most if not all the cravings should be gone by then. Another bonus so far for us is that we have only eaten at home which is saving some money :) I still find snack ideas my biggest challenge but I use the idea's I have gotten here as well as Pinterest for idea's ;) Hope everyone else is doing well and THANK YOU for all your support since I have come back to BOTT's!!
