Hello, Old Friends.
im back for some advice, information, and accountability on back to basics. I got too comfortable after easily maintaining for 5 years. Last April, I took a desk job and have gained 15 lbs. my clothes don't fit and I am starting to self loathe.
Assessing the situation, I can see how grazing, caffeine and sugar abuse during long hours, and no physical activity lead to this gain.
First to stop it, then to reverse it. I still have pretty good restriction, but may do cottage cheese test to see how much I can eat. I usually eat until full and will get goalies if I'm not careful. I know protein is the answer. Have to decide liquids to quickly lose or just meat and greens to stay full. Cardio and tracking are definitely in my future.
Please share what worked for you.

B: Jimmy Dean Delight
S: 80 calorie chocolate raspberry Greek yogurt and a little granola
L: chicken, salad, potato
S: frozen fruit and Greek yogurt smoothie
D: veggie soup, chicken, potatoes
S: Metamucil crackers, almonds

Thank you! Yes I do think this is the year of "US"! It's only February and things are going in the right direction. We have a lot of time yet this year to make our dreams come true!! You WILL get to the onederland again and the momentum of that will keep you going :D We just have to keep our eye on the prize.
Congratulations on your weight loss! I too am a very slow loser. As long as it goes in the right direction I am happy. I can't wait to be in onederland again. Don't you feel like this is your year to do it? We can do this!!! Tri

I will NEVER truly understand how weight loss works. I'm a slow loser, VERY slow. So I am never surprised by that. As long as I am eating according to plan and the right portion sizes I know the weight HAS to come off. But then on days like yesterday where I see a large (for me) drop in my weight, I'm so very shocked and surprised! Makes my day and makes my determination to continue eating right that much easier :) I need to keep days like that (no matter how far and in between they are) in my mind for motivation! It's a GREAT feeling seeing the scale move in the direction you work so hard for! Hope everyone else is doing well and Best of luck to us all.

L: lettuce, tomato, cucumber, 1/2 avocado, seeds, rf cheese, gyro meat, whole wheat toast croutons and fat free Italian dressing
D: beef, veggeti zucchini, tomato sauce, mushrooms
S: nsa/ff cheesecake, Plain Greek yogurt, baked apples and walnuts

We are having a lot of snow today so I am a shut in. I recorded a couple of movies this weekend. My goal today is to pause the movie at each commercial and clean for 10 minutes. I have 4 more lower cabinets to clean out in my kitchen and a load of laundry to do today. I would love to finish housecleaning the kitchen this winter. I also have been cleaning out the basement for over a year. It is coming along. I have a nice thrift store that accepts donations and sells it and runs homeless shelters and meal programs with the profits. It takes a lot of time to pick out nice things and clean them so it can raise money for their program. Climbing the stairs and hauling up stuff is great exercise for me. I wonder how many minutes I can clean today? At my weight I burn 240 calories per hour. I cleaned for 3 hours and 40 minutes today. Have a great day everyone. Tri

I relost a pound and I am back to 207 this morning. My jeans are loose again. I can't wait to drop down a size. I have been very busy the past few days. I was tracking on a piece of paper. Lots of cleaning and laundry. I put up Valentine decorations and was shopping for a new recliner. Can't find what I want and I don't want to settle yet.
